Apply mousse to wide-tooth comb then smooth through damp hair.  Use a nozzle on your hair dryer and point downwards.

My Experience with Wella New Wave Tame it Smoothing Mousse:

I love this product. I use this product whenever I straight iron my hair. It smoothes out my hair and prevents it from any heat damage and there is little to no frizz in my hair. A product like this is a must if you regularly use heat in your hair styling routine.  Using excessive heat on hair regularly will damage it and make it brittle.

The mousse itself is very lightweight and very easy to spread. I just need a palmful to cover my entire waist length hair. Do not use too much or it makes the hair look greasy.

It does not have a very strong hold as mentioned on the bottle, holding power is 2/4, but it keeps my slightly wavy hair, sleek and straight after ironing till my next hair wash. But I guess that effect will lessen if you have curly hair. Hair does start to get a little greasy and flat after a day or two with this applied. So that forces me to wash this off in a couple of days as flat hair becomes difficult to style.

This is not a volumizing mousse, so don’t expect it to give any volume to your hair. If you are going to use this while blow drying your hair, it will give you sleek straight hair, but less volume as compared to a volumizing product.

It has a very wonderful scent like the scent you always get when you step into a high class salon. When this is used on hair, hair smells great the whole day, so much that people will be finding excuse to sit next to you longer 😛

It does contain UV protection, so I guess it will protect your hair when you step out in the sun. It does contain loads of chemicals and parabens, so I won’t recommend to use too much.
