So, as I mentioned earlier, I raided her makeup stash and decided to share it with everyone. Hence, here comes the next top-notch shade from her stash. Surprisingly I am in love with shimmers nowadays and shimmers with pink color in summers feel like a match made in heaven! My Experience with Wet n Wild 530D Dark Pink Frost Silk Finish Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a re-vamped sturdy plastic black bullet packaging with a transparent white cap. It does have a familiar ‘silk finish’ fragrance, but nothing to be concerned about. Overall, I absolutely like the packaging.
The shade “Dark Pink Frost” appears to be a subtle, cool-toned pink color with a metallic finish. Despite shimmers I find it suitable for every medium, fair and light skin tone as I find myself comfortable wearing this shade. My friend likes to flaunt it on her medium-deep skin tone too. The shade name sounds a bit misleading as the shade appears to be a soft, light pink and it is not “dark pink”.
It does tend to appear frosty at times, but surprisingly it has a perfect balance of cool toned pink pigmentation and metallic sheen. It provides sheer to medium coverage unlike “Cashmere” hence, beauties with deeply pigmented lips might need a primer or a lip liner beneath for full coverage. For me, it does conceal light medium scars up to a good extent without being heavy or cakey on my lips, feel wise or look wise.
Oh yes, it has an amazing light-weight and easy to glide formula which does not clings to dry patches or highlight them unlike other shimmery lipsticks. As per my friend’s experience, the formula is neither overly drying nor intensely hydrating; it just provides optimum moisture to let go of minor dryness and/or ageing lips. It sits comfortably on normal-dry lips for decent number of hours. It stays on for good 5-6 hours on her lips with moderate transferring.
It is also quite impressive to see that it neither emphasizes the fine lines nor bleeds or feathers around the lip lines. As long as the lipstick stays on the lips, it provides decent moisture and a saturated color pay off. Personally I also find it comfortable: creamy, non-tugging and partly hydrating. I would definitely like to check all the shades from this range and if you are all into shimmery makeup, then just go ahead and get it. .
