All the bloggers are gaga about these Wet n Wild lipsticks as to how they are perfect dupes of MAC and other higher end lipsticks. These beauties are just for $2 and are amazing to wear. I bought four shades of these and although two of them didn’t look so good on me, I still didn’t regret my purchase. Keep reading to know more about it…
• Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke.
• Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.
• Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.
My Take on Wet n Wild Cinnamon Spice Megalast Lipstick:
First thing first, let me state the obvious – yes, indeed the price of the product is a major incentive and an impetus as to why one would buy this product but it is more than just a cheap bundle of joy.
Packaging: Not very nice or sturdy, but better than Silk Finish Lipstick but a little product does stick to the cap. Cap is very fragile and should be handled carefully since it is prone to cracks.
Texture: It is very creamy and buttery, which is a rarity in lower end drug store lipsticks. It glides on easily and can be used on dry lips.
Color: Very pretty color of brown with pink undertones and looks pretty on my dusky skin tone.
Pigmentation: Very pigmented with good color pay off. One swipe gives a brilliant shade of mocha brown which is enough to cover my pigmented lips.
Shimmer and Shine: It has a creme finish and gives a semi matte finish but one can dab a little powder to get a full matte finish.
Fragrance: The product has no fragrance whatsoever which works well for me.
Wear Time: Easily 5 to 6 hours and one requires a good makeup remover to remove it because it stains a lot. It stays put through meals and other activities our lips usually go through which is very impressive for such a pocket friendly lipstick.
Conclusion: This shade is very subdued and pretty at the same time and can be worn on all sorts of occasion especially with dark eye makeup. I would love to buy all the shades and add them to my vanity since they are so pretty and easy on pocket.
