Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio – Knock On Wood Review

Hello Ladies,

Today, I am going to review an eyeshadow trio “Knock On Wood” from Wet n Wild Coloricon range.  Wet n Wild color icon trios and 8 shadow palettes are very affordable and high in quality at the same time.  Let’s get started with the review.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio – Knock On Wood:

This palette has 3 coordinating shades, for eyelid, crease and brow bone. It is also imprinted on the corresponding shades making it easier for anyone to use.  The trio come with a sponge tip applicator, which can be used for packing the shadows and a blunt cut brush, which is not of much use.

Let me talk briefly about each of the shades.

Eyelid:  This is a very pretty burgundy shade with a satin finish.  It is not the creamiest of all, but it is quite buildable and has a good pigmentation. It can be used as an overall lid shade or on crease with lighter color on the lids. This shade absolutely has no fall outs.

Crease:  This is a deep taupe shade with very fine shimmer in it. The shimmer is very fine and almost undetectable. It has a buttery smooth texture and highly pigmented, works beautifully as a crease shade.

Brow bone:  This is my least favorite in this palette.  Like the crease shade, this one also has fine shimmer in it, has a buttery soft texture, but doesn’t pack much pigments. It doesn’t show up much on my skin and the staying power of this shade is also very less.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio - Knock On Wood 4

Overall, this palette has two wonderful basic shades for any skin tone. I’m an NC 42 and I prefer using an eye shadow primer with these shadows. If we could totally pass the highlight (brow bone) shade and use something else, this is a great basic palette to own.

Pros of Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio – Knock On Wood:

  • Three nicely coordinating neutral shades.
  • Two out of three shades have very good pigmentation.
  • All shades have a very soft texture.
  • The staying power is quite impressive.
  • Very affordable.

Cons of Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio – Knock On Wood:

  • The pigmentation of brow bone shade is the only drawback for me in this palette, otherwise I love it!

Final Word:

If you are new to eyeshadows and want to try some, these are very good shadows to start with.  This palette “Knock on Wood” in particular is a very basic neutral palette to own, I am pleased with this palette and I would recommend this to everyone.
