Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder Review

Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder

Asalamolaikum and hello to everyone!

Wet n wild is not available here; so I had to go a long way to purchase the stuff and waited over months to get it delivered. Few things have got badly damaged during shipping and transit. Today’s review is about Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder. I can never have enough of pressed powders because of my super oily t-zone and I chose shade fair for my NC-25 skin. so let’s see how it works on my oily-combination skin.

Price:

I got it for $6.3 including all taxes and shipping costs. The actual cost was $4.3. it contains 7.5 grams of product.

Packaging: The packaging is average. Enclosed in a black pan with semi transparent flip cover, the pressed powder comes with a small sponge which is of real good quality but really small in size. Hence, it is good for touch ups for oil blotting but not workable for overall use. The packaging doesn’t look flimsy but avoid dropping it; I am afraid it will not survive the fall. The cover closes tightly so no mess while carrying in purse. The packaging comes without a mirror.

My experience with Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder:

Ok guys! No suspense…I seriously love the product. It is so affordable and gives great coverage with efficient oil control. What more can I expect from a drugstore brand. Let’s read it in detail. The texture is really fine milled and soft with a silky feel. The fine powder is softly pressed in the pan and it is easy to get the product on the sponge or kabuki brush with one swipe, also because of the soft texture. When applied, it gives coverage without being tacky and looking cakey; coverage that is slightly more than a medium coverage. For very dark circles, spots, scars or blemishes, you might need a concealer underneath. There is no fallout in the pan which keeps the case entirely clean. The application makes me look fresh and controls oil on my face for 5 hours and for t-zone, it is shine free upto 3-3.5 hours. The results and coverage is thoroughly satisfying for me. It doesn’t contain any SPF factor, so you will have to work with your favourite sunscreen underneath the pressed powder before you step into the sun. It is a Parabens free product, which I really like. I haven’t suffered nay breakout or closed pores specifically because of the product; already I had some clogged pores troubles because the summer has been merciless here. This one is really good to set your foundation or BB creams. But since it gives a good coverage on its own, so be careful while setting a HD foundation not to look cakey and over board. Infact, when used wet, it can be built up to full coverage easily. It kicks off a fair amount of powder on one swirl but still isn’t chalky in texture. Oily and combination skins are going to enjoy this but not dry skin beauties; it accentuates dry patches. However, it doesn’t enhance my pores. Overall, a wonderful investment it is to purchase the coverall pressed powder form wet and wild cosmetics.

  1. Walekum assalam, this looks so amazing Sumera…!!!
I have a question….though very silly one….u mentioned when used wet, it gives full coverage…how do u use a powder in wet form? i know am sounding very silly..but pls help me understand…
also, what is the difference between pressed powder, loose powder and powder or mineral foundation?
Pls ignore my stupidity *spank* and answer my questions….

    1. *thankyou* Anu, and your question is not at at silly neither asking anything looks like a stupidity 🙂 🙂 relax. Let me reply to your queries. Using a pressed powder dry means using with dry sponge or face brush. Similarly, when you want to use it wet, soak you sponge in water and squeeze out extra water, you just need a moist sponge, the swipe on the powder surface. this gives approx one step ahead coverage from a product.

      1. Powder is a general word. by pressed powder, we mean a compact which comes in a pan. by loose powder, we mean finely milled powder in loose granules form which can be applied using a face/kabuki brush only. Mineral powder means a pressed/loose powder product formulated with essential minerals in ingredients and is free of Parabens. Mineral powders usually come in loose powder form.
        Hope it helps sweetie…

        1. Also, illuminating powders are those who give a dewy finish to face and mattifying are those who soak oil. Like translucent powders are meant to blot oil without adding cakiness to face 🙂
I remember you can check loose powder review by neetu, pressed powder is this one and mineral…i reviewed one from ELF….

            1. hmm mention not anu. well for me, glow and radiance actually is that i should look fresh bcoz when i sweat, i look dull and my skin looks like i have had a long day in a polluted area, literally 😀 if you have a dry skin, better try a BB cream too and i was about to say the same thing that try illuminating powder. i am using Stils’s and it is butter awesome wonderful *woot*
