Hello IMBB friends..
Summers upon us and as much as we love makeup, sustaining it throughout the day is a big hassle especially the eyes and if you have super oily lids like me then all the more. It gets really humid where I live and most of the eyelid primers I have used have not given me the satisfaction of keeping normally made eyes throughout the day. But that is changing.
Wet n Wild says: Being a pop culture icon means you never the house without looking in prime condition. So Fergie’s letting you in on her secrete to always looking impeccable! This perfect primer preps and brightens eyelids to guarantee ultra-vibrant color that lasts all day! Its smooth, effortless application dries to a clear finish and keeps eyeshadow from creasing. Once you try Fergie’s secret, you’ll never want to go back! Don’t worry, you can thank her later.

My take on Wet n Wild Fergie Take On The Day Eyeshadow Primer:
Let me give it a standing ovation even before we begin. As much as I trust Wet n Wild, eyelid primers are something which scare me and honestly, I bought this because I wanted to tell everyone why drugstore primers should be avoided – but this was a total check-mate. As far as packaging is concerned, it comes in a plain black tube with screw top and stuff written in gold. Pretty plain, one might ignore it while walking down the store. It has a nozzle which dispenses the product. you need a really tiny amount for both lids. I apply it with my fingers, blending it and tapping as I go. It is in a semi cream format, not really runny and might feel a tad silicon-ey to touch. Once it sets, it does not budge at all. I wore it so many times in so many weather conditions but it did not let my shadow budge or crease or so much as wither. I can say that it has performed better on me than MAC’s paint pots.
I mostly had a problem with my eyeliner transferring to the upper lid as I have hooded eyes, but when I apply this primer all over the lids and set it with a shadow/powder, I don’t have to worry about smudging at all. It looks beige-ish pink in the swatch but when I blend it out, it just dissolves in my skin and is almost the same colour. It is a bit sheer looking so it will not cover any blemishes/ visible veins as concealers do. Also, a little bit is needed so sometimes one can squeeze a bit too much and it gets wasted. This is extremely ideal for travel and is so cheap you won’t cry if it gets lost or stolen.
Perfect example: Today I wore this primer under a pigment shadow at 8am. Now it’s 5:30 pm here, I am roaming out the whole time and the shadow looks fresh as ever and it has been raining the entire time.
If this is not love then what is…..
Pros of Wet n Wild Fergie Take On The Day Eyeshadow Primer:
– Cheap as hell
– Extremely easy to apply
– Extremely long lasting
– Keeps makeup looking fresh all day
– Enhances the look of shadow colors
– Hygienic packaging
– Cruelty free brand
Cons of Wet n Wild Fergie Take On The Day Eyeshadow Primer:
– Will not cover veins/pigmented lids
– If you squeeze too much, you might waste it
– If you don’t blend it well, it looks chalky/pasty
Verdict: I give it 5/5. I am buying a new one as a repository because it is getting famous by word of mouth and I fear it will go extinct.
