Wet n Wild Fergie Video Bomb Highlighter Review

Wet n Wild Fergie Video Bomb Highlighter

Hello IMBB friends…

Today’s product is a bit different. When summer started, I went into a bronzer frenzy and searched and tried all the possible bronzers available. I wanted one for contouring and one for an all over wash of bronzey glow. I saw these on a trip to walgreens and my- don’t they look alluring!

Website says: Have your glowing complexion reflect the rock star within! These perfectly-coordinated baked trios provide an instant glimmer of color for a glowing complexion. The baked technology can be worn wet or dry and delivers high-pearl and high-pigment for an extra reflective finish. Big girls don’t shy away from a little sparkle!

Cost : $6

My take on Wet n Wild Fergie Video Bomb Highlighter:

I saw these and immediately thought of the Hourglass ambient light blushes but the comparison stops there. I guess they tried to make a cheaper version of the MAC MSFs but instead added too much shimmer. This particular shade is a nice pinkish-bronze but has way too much shimmer in it. WnW launched them specially for the summers and they are hopefully permanent. These palettes are huge to hold and look really upscale. They are supposed to be used as blush, bronzer, or highlighter, depending on your skin tone, and can be used wet or dry. I liked that it has a very smooth consistency.

I especially liked the veining that runs through it. It looks like a cool bubble gum pink blush with dark and light bronzy veins going through it which gives it a lovely sheen. I have used it on the eyes and cheeks. It seems to be a great product if we decide to ignore the extra shimmer and the fallout. It stays on me for about 4-5 hours after which the shimmer starts spreading. This particular shade will look really great on ladies with light to medium skin tones. I would not recommend this for contouring at all but as a light highlighter it will look superb! It does enhance my open pores so that’s a solid minus from me.

Pros of Wet n Wild Fergie Video Bomb Highlighter:

Covers well
Easy To Use
Good Value for the size
Lightweight
Looks really nice and glowy

Cons of Wet n Wild Fergie Video Bomb Highlighter:

Too much fallout
Way too much shimmer
Makes my open pores stand out

Verdict: I give it 3 / 5. If you have a nice plain skin with no visible pores, this will look fabulous- but again, too much shimmer. I would not repurchase.
