I haven’t purchased much makeup lately, mostly because I will be vacating my room soon and was planning to stop my makeup from occupying more space, but this cute mascara caught my eye online and seemed so affordable – hard to say no! So here is my review on the same just in case you want to purchase it too.
This super-special mascara contains a special blend of waxes that lavishly lifts and lengthens with amazing staying power. The waterproof formula stays on through heavy rain, uncontrollable sobbing, and unbearable humidity. Oh, and swimming.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Mega Length Waterproof Mascara Very Black:
This mascara comes in a simple, “no frills” attached packaging. The purple plastic cylindrical tube is sleek and lightweight, and doesn’t add any bulk to your makeup pouch. The wand also doesn’t have significant weight. The bottom of the tube has the shade name ‘Very Black’ written. Most product details are written on the tube. Overall, I really do not have any grudge against any aspect of the packaging.
I got the shade ‘Very Black’ which is a deep black color, and best suited for our skin tones. It definitely complements my natural lash color well, without looking too dramatic.
The wand is very thin, light and has spiky bristles. The bristles are useful in separating every lash, even the tiny lashes of the lower lash line. I like that the bristles do not pick up a chunk of the product, resulting in any clumpy mess.
The texture of the mascara is on the wet side. It takes a little more time to dry than some mascaras that I have previously used from other brands. If you have hooded or deep-set eyes, be careful about opening your eyes before it dries. I wait for close to a minute, to allow it dry completely.
It definitely separates and elongates my lashes. In my eye swatch, I have no eye makeup. The lashes look clearly defined and long with the mascara on. It gives nice fluttery long lashes, without any clumped lashes. Best thing, the thin bristles reach the tiniest of lashes, evenly coating them.
The formula is pretty long wearing and water resistant. It is definitely not ‘swimming resistant’- yes, I tried it! The formula breaks down with large volumes of water, but an unexpected rain shower wouldn’t give you raccoon eyes. It is also sweat proof. Oils do cause the mascara to rub off, so for very oily skin, if you rub your eyes, this will wear off. My suggestion- powder your eye area to prevent excess oiliness. I have seen that this is best removed with cleansing oil or good old almond/coconut/olive oil.
Overall, for the price, this is a great lengthening mascara. Do not expect much volume. I would recommend this as a regular wear mascara.
