Today’s review will be on a gel lip balm from Wet n Wild. Winters are here and hence, lip balms are a must for those dry cracked lips. Let’s see how this one fared for me!

My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm – Love:

This lip balm comes in a cardboard box which contains all the details about the lip balm. The actual lip balm comes in a black tube with a clear lid. The cap shuts with an audible click. The font on the tube is the same as the colour of the lip balm. The twist mechanism works fine. My only concern with Wet n Wild lip products is that the product sticks out. Hence, you have to be super careful while closing or opening the cap. I have nicked most of the lip products due to the product sticking out!

The shade “Love” looks like a bold mauve shade, but it isn’t that loud. It is very subtle. It imparts very little pigment to the lips. It gives a beautiful shine to the lips too. I wish these lip balms were a little more pigmented. The colour on the bullet looks gorgeous!

The texture is very light, but doesn’t feel any different. It is pretty moisturizing, but it doesn’t heal cracked lips. It just provides moisture as long as the lip balm stays on your lips. The formula is very lightweight and slightly slippery. But, your lips feel slightly moisturized even after you wipe off the excess. The lip balm doesn’t provide any hydration though. You will need to re-apply it frequently.

The staying power is low. It won’t let you apply any lipstick on top, because of the slightly slippery formula. Only liquid lipsticks can be applied on top of this lip balm. I also noticed that this one dries out my lips even more, once the product gets completely off my lips! Personally, I am not impressed with this product.
