As a rule of thumb, I always wear a lip liner underneath my lipsticks or liquid lipsticks, even under a lip gloss. My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner Gone Burgundy:
This liner comes in 12 different shades and best part is that this brand thinks of almost all the skin tones and tries to cover a wide range of colors and shades so that everyone can find at least one color that will suit their needs and their skin tone.
The product comes in a retractable pencil form. The casing is black in color except the cap is in the color of the shade of the product. The packaging does not feel very strong and is rather fragile, but I guess, it will serve its purpose while it lasts. The quantity of this product is something not to brag about but I suppose for $2.99 it is still a fair deal.
The shade of this lip liner, as the name suggests, is burgundy. It has neutral undertones and can be worn by both cool and warm tones. I like this particular shade because it goes well with browns, reds and plum shades. It is very soft and smooth to apply and I was surprised how well it glided on lips. It gave an opaque finish in one go and gave a soft matt finish. I then further layered it with a brown lipstick on one occasion and wine on another. Both the times, it performed well, gave more color to my lips and increased the longevity of my lip color.
In conclusion, I would say that I am really happy with my purchase. You cannot go wrong with these Wet n Wild beauties. They are affordable, have good color payoff, don’t dry out lips and do add to the color and wear time of the lipstick. It can be bought in stores, but some shades can be bought online only since they are yet to be made available in drugstores. Wet n Wild is a cruelty free, vegan brand and that is a plus point for most of us who support these campaigns.
