My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner Think Flamingos:
This lip liner comes in pretty black retraceable pencil with a color-coded light pink cap. I like this travel-friendly pencil and it works so smoothly. There is no need to shape it and no wastage as well. It’s quite affordable too.
This range offers 12 shades, but here in India, you can find only 6 shades. The shade ‘Think Flamingos’ is a light pale pink shade which is best for fair skin tones. It’s a nice natural nude pink for fair skin but washes out Indian skin tones.
Since I have medium skin tone this shade looks light on me and I have to mix it with other shades. But it works nicely underneath a nude lipstick and helps to define the lips. It doesn’t have any shimmer either. This shade is well pigmented and requires just one to two swipes for that perfect color payoff. It can hide lip pigmentation too.
This lip liner has a buttery soft texture that glides effortlessly on the lips and it feels smooth too. I can easily draw my lips and it defines the lines perfectly. The liner has a velvety matte finish that looks beautiful. It also feels lightweight on the lips and the shade blends easily with the other lip shades.
The formula is hydrating and feels very comfortable that never makes me feel dry or patchy. Initially, the color does transfer a bit, but once it settles down like a pretty stain, it doesn’t transfer that much and then it is waterproof as well. But somehow, this particular shade has a bit poor formula that the other one.
This color stays around 4 hours, and if it settles down, then it can survive normal food. Otherwise, after having an oily junk meal, it looks faded. If I wear it individually then I need a reapplication. But underneath a lipstick, it works better and makes the lipstick stay for longer and mess-free too. Hence, it is quite easy to remove and doesn’t settle into the fine lines or creases.
Overall, I love the formula and it feels extremely smooth on the lips. Though the shade washes me out a bit I can still wear it or it can be used with a nude lipstick. Also, it works nicely to create an ombre lip makeup. It gives a natural finish with other shades too. The quantity will run out soon as the formula is very creamy and contains only 0.25 g of the product.
