Recently, Wet n Wild launched a new range of products. One of the products launched was the pout gel lip liner. I purchased 2 of the 6 shades that are available. I got the shade Never Petal down and Bare to Comment. I have already reviewed Bare To Comment. Today, I will be reviewing Never Petal Down. So, let’s see how the lip liner fared.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Never Petal Down Gel Lip Liner:
Packaging: The Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner comes in a black twist-up slender plastic pen. The cap shows the colour of the lip liner which is very useful. The cap closes with a click. The lip liner comes in a white box with the name of the lip liner and the ingredient list. The packaging of the lip liner is lightweight and very travel friendly.
Shade and Finish: “Never Petal Down” is a gorgeous rosy pink shade. This lip liner can be paired with almost any lip colour. The finish of the lip liner paired with the new Wet n Wild Catsuit liquid lipstick is great.
Texture and Application: The texture of the lip liner is very smooth, creamy and gel like. The lip liner glides on my lips like a dream. The liner gives a crisp line during the first application however the lip liner does smudge easily due to its creamy texture. The liner has a mild chemical scent which doesn’t bother me. This lip liner is great to fill in the lip lines before applying a liquid lipstick on top of it. Since it’s a twist-up pencil liner, I won’t be able to sharpen the pencil to get a very crisp lip line.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lip liner is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented. One swipe is all it takes to get the maximum pigmentation.
Staying Power: The staying power is okay with this lipstick. It stays on for around 3 to 4 hours without the need to reapply. It does smudge easily if I rub my lips with my hand accidentally.
Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off and the texture of the lip liner. I feel I can easily wear only the lip liner and go to work.

- Cannot sharpen the lip liner once the pencil is used a couple of times, so getting a sharp lip line will be a problem.
