Greetings fellow IMBBians,
Wet n Wild has launched a new range of products under the tagline “Photo Focus” and the product line includes a lash primer, eyeshadow primer, and a setting spray. In this post, I have reviewed the eyeshadow primer which I bought two weeks ago from my local Walmart. I was not so impressed by the lash primer, but this eyeshadow primer is amazing and worth a special mention. Read on for more details.
Product Description:
Looking for the perfect primer that preps and brightens eyelids to lock down eye shadow color all day? This primer features smooth, effortless application that dries to a clear finish and keeps eye makeup in place.

My Take on Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer:
Why one needs a primer:
- To reduce appearance of fine lines.
- Enhances the color of eyeshadow.
- Acts as a smooth base to apply eyeshadows.
- To ensure makeup lasts longer.
Packaging: The product comes in a white squeeze tube with a nozzle to dispense a pea-sized product at a time; however, that quantity is more than required for one time use.
Texture: The primer looks like a beige color goop and applies a bit tacky, but that’s what a primer is supposed to be – a sticky goop texture so that eyeshadow adheres to it and does not budges throughout the wear time; however, it is not as tacky as the other primer by Wet n Wild and applies more like a silicon primer. After blending, the eyelid appears matte and provides a good canvas to apply color and blend.
Efficacy: This is an amazing product for undr $5. It does what it claims, it increases the wear time of the eyeshadow, adds a little pop to the eyes and prevents the eyeshadow from smudging. I really like this product and is way better than its cousin – lash primer.
Wear Time: My eye makeup was intact till I removed it with a good makeup remover. It was easy to apply and spread on the eyelids; however, each time, it dispenses more product than required which leads to wastage. I also apply a little bit on my lower lash line as well and it prevents my kohl from smudging.
I apply argan oil and maracuja oil on my skin before I apply makeup, so one can imagine how horribly my makeup can crease, hence it is imperative that I wear a good primer underneath or the entire makeup will melt down.
Pros of Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer:
- Cute little tube packaging.
- This primer is for all skin types and skin tones.
- Blends easily.
- Gives a smooth finish to apply makeup.
- Prevents eyeshadow from smudging and creasing.
- Increases wear time of eye color.
- Not very expensive.
- Adds a little pop to eye color.
- Can be used on the lower water line.
Cons of Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer:
- Dispenses more product than required.
- Availability can be an issue for some.
Would I Repurchase Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer?
Yes, unless I want to spend more money and buy a more expensive primer. Readers, do consider buying this product because it is worth it.
