My Experience with Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation:
Packaging: Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation comes in a square glass bottle with a black cap. It is a normal bottle and quite travel-friendly as well. Though I prefer pump bottle, but at this price rate you can’t get that. Now, this bottle has a wand applicator which is quite interesting to me and the applicator is made of plastic with a flat top section, which helps to apply the product directly on the face. So, I don’t need to mess up with the product on my hand. It is actually very useful and it’s easy to apply the foundation. The wand pulls good amount of product at once and I don’t need to reapply it. So overall, I like this packaging.
Shade: Coming to the shade options, it is available with 6 shades and as usual most of them are for lighter skin tone. I am medium tanned and I picked the shade “Bronze Beige” which is described as for medium tanned skin tones with warm tone. But, the shade is slightly light than my complexion. Also, I can manage with the application and it sets into a nice tone once I am done with my makeup. But, there is no shade for darker skin tones, which is actually disappointing as they have so many options in USA.
Coverage: Now, I can work with this shade and it doesn’t leave any white cast behind it. It looks so fresh and nice on me. Also, the shade is well pigmented that provides good medium to full coverage. Yes, it can hide all the imperfections like spots, pigmentation, uneven skin tones, but you have to build up the shade for the best coverage. It can hide redness and darkness around the eye area. Now, I don’t have major issues on skin, so it looks really nice on me. Also, I always prefer natural coverage foundations as they are lighter than a full coverage one. But obviously, this is good if you want full coverage.
Texture and Quality: Foundation has nice thin consistency that glides so well on skin and blends effortlessly on it. I used both brush and sponge, but for me brush worked better than sponge this time. But, it works with both the tools and gives a smooth flawless finish. It doesn’t feel heavy, but not the lightest one too. It feels comfortable on the skin and never feels patchy too, but still I can feel something on face. Foundation provides good hydration to skin and never clings to dry patches. Even in this winter, it keeps the skin soft and smooth throughout the day without making it oily. It is actually good for all skin type as the texture is neither full matte nor dewy. Also, it never clogs my pores. It suits to my sensitive skin well and never broke me out. Now, they claimed it to be a photo focus foundation which has been tested under more than seven lights and it doesn’t look white under flashlight. It is actually good for flash photography, but only when you have picked the right shade. I mean, if you apply a lighter shade, then it will look different. Otherwise, it looks so natural on pictures.
Staying Power: On my oily skin, it stays really long for around 7-8 hours without any creasing. By the end of the day, it does look faded from my T-zone, but it is pretty a common issue. I am not sure how long will it control oil on face, as the weather is pretty dry now, but it feels like a good one.
Overall: It is a budget-friendly foundation that can provide great results like an expensive foundation. It is totally worth the hype. It looks really good and covers well with a nice soft texture. Only, I am not happy with its shades range in India.
