My Experience with Wet n Wild Pinky Promise Mega Slicks Lip Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour:

The packaging is super convenient, I must say. The cap looks cheap, but is not at all flimsy and it fits in place, thanks to the groove. There won’t be any tension of the cap coming off. This balm stain is in the form of a twist up stick and needs no sharpening. It is pretty convenient on that part too.

I chose the shade in Pinky Promise knowing it was a shade with shimmers, but I hadn’t expected it to be full of it! Pinky Promise is a light pink with lots of very fine gold shimmers in it. The shimmers are a big turn off for me! They not only spread all over my face but also make the stain look more gold than pink. It was slightly disappointing on that part.

This is very much easy to use. The texture is very smooth, and it glides easily on lips. Exfoliation is not needed, except that the shimmers tend to settle in the lines. This particular shade will suit only very fair to fair skin tones, thanks to the gold shimmers. It gives a cool, minty sensation that I totally adore. Even your lips need to relax once in a while. 😛 On the contrary, it photographs really well, where it looks more pink than what I see in the mirror. I’d totally recommend this for a party.

Lasting power is just on the average side. The shimmers fall all over the place and also, the balm feathers. It also tends to transfer easily. Color payoff isn’t as strong as other shades; average pigmentation. But, it can be layered to cover pigmentation. It leaves behind a light pink stain after a few hours which can be removed with a remover. My only issue with this is the presence of shimmers, but I guess I can ignore that and rejoice this gesture by IMBB <3

• Looks more gold than pink, in person.
• This shade will not suit dusky beauties.

YES! I totally recommend this to everyone, it is super affordable and a great product for the price tag. I’d like to try out other pigmented shades from this range.
