Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Today, I will be writing about an eye product from the brand Wet n Wild. The brand is famous for its eye shadow trios and their 8 pan shadows. But, today I am reviewing Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil. These shadows come in 6 different shades and the color I have today is called Pixie.
Combining the convenience of a pencil with the application of an eyeshadow in a jumbo-sized crayon design, these cream shadows are easy to blend and with a silky-smooth formula, they glide on easily for high-impact, light-infused color that lasts for hours. Soft-blending, creamy eyeshadow at the convenience of a pencil. Silky-smooth formula glides on easily for high-impact, light-infused color that lasts for hours.
$2-3 or INR 316.5 for 3.2 grams.
My Experience with Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil:
Packaging: The packaging of the pencil is pretty average and is like any other cream pencil. It is a short chubby colored pencil with a transparent cap. The small size of the pencil makes it an eye candy on the dresser.
Color: Pixie is a pretty champagne color with pink undertones. The color is free of shimmers, but has a frosty finish which makes it shine on the lids. The color is appropriate for inner corners of the eyes and for highlighting. It looks beautiful as an overall lid color also. It can also be used as a liner or on the lower lash line. Basically, it is a versatile color.
Pigmentation: When swatched on the hand, it gives excellent pigmentation. So, the first impression about the pigmentation is amazing. But, the color loses its pigmentation upon blending. Thankfully the color is easy to build and even multiple swatches do not make it look bad.
Texture: The product is super easy to use due to its soft texture. The pencil glides on the lids effortlessly. But, its super creamy formula makes it lose points on oily lids. The product is very oily which makes it crease easily. Within a few minutes, the lids start to look greasy. And hence, the color tends to fade quite easily.
Staying Power: The color does not even stay properly on the lids even for one hour. The staying power of the color can be increased a bit by using a good primer underneath the shadow, but that too doesn’t help it to stay much longer.
Overall, yes it is a beautiful color, but what’s its use if it can’t be used. The colors from this range cannot be used as a base, like most of the other cream shadows. It creases very easily. To make this color work, you need a good primer underneath the shadow and a powder shadow over it.
Personally, I didn’t like the idea of using 3 products just to use this one and even after so much effort the shadow doesn’t stay for very long. The color doesn’t even stay as a liner. But, thankfully the shadow stick is not a complete waste; it works well in the inner corner and lower lash line.
Pros of Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil:
• Easy to blend.
• Beautiful versatile color.
• Superb pigmentation.
• Soft, easy and convenient to use.
• Good for inner corners of the eyes and lower lash line.
Cons of Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil:
• Creases easily.
• Doesn’t stay for long.
• Fades within few minutes.
• Can’t be used alone.
Would I Repurchase Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil?
No! I already have two of these and I do not like either of them. So, I would not buy them again, neither this one nor any other shade from this range.
Would I Recommend Wet n Wild Pixie Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencil?
