Today’s review will be on a gel lip balm from Wet n Wild. Winters are here, hence lip balms are a must for dry cracked lips. Let’s see how this one fared for me!

My Experience with Wet n Wild Pout Gel Lip Balm – Tell:
This lip balm comes in a cardboard box which contains all the details about the lip balm. The actual lip balm comes in a black tube with a clear lid. The cap shuts with an audible click. The twist-up mechanism works fine. My only concern with Wet n Wild lip products is that the product sticks out and that’s why one has to be super careful while closing or opening the cap. I have nicked most of the lip products from this brand because the bullet was sticking out!
“Tell” looked a beautiful juicy orange shade online, but it turned out to be a very milky peach shade. This color looks horrendous on my lips, to be honest! It washes out my complexion completely. It will only work for people who have true pink lips maybe. It doesn’t work for me sadly!
The texture is very light. It is pretty moisturizing, but it doesn’t heal cracked lips. It just provides moisture as long the lip balm stays on your lips. The formula is very lightweight and slightly slippery, but your lips feel slightly moisturized even after you wipe off the excess. The lip balm doesn’t provide any hydration though. You will need to re-apply it frequently.
The staying power is low. It won’t let you apply any lipstick on top because of the slightly slippery formula. Only liquid lipsticks can be applied on top of this lip balm. I also noticed that this one dries out my lips even more once the product is completely off my lips! Personally, I am not impressed with this lip balm from Wet n Wild.
Pros of Wet n Wild Pout Gel Lip Balm – Tell:
- Good packaging.
- Gives a nice and healthy sheen to the lips.
- Very light texture.
- Moisturising enough.
- Gel-based formula.
Cons of Wet n Wild Pout Gel Lip Balm – Tell:
- Expensive for a lip balm.
- Doesn’t heal cracked lips.
- Need to reapply frequently.
- Can’t be worn under lipsticks.
- Isn’t hydrating.
- Dries out my lips if I do not reapply!
- Not well pigmented!
