If there is one brand that I really want in India, that’s Wet n Wild. Costing way less than 100 bucks, these lipsticks from Wet n Wild are too good to be true. I shopped some items from Wet n Wild, and later went back for more. They are great for affordable gifting too. Today’s review will be about a beautiful shade from the Silk Finish range of Wet n Wild. Keep scrolling down for more details.
We have never quite understood why others make you spend over 20X as much on something that we give you for next to nothing. Our lipstick formula contains all the same things as the other guys: rich color, vitamins A and E, aloe vera, and really feels like putting silk on your lips. If you’re already thinking “That is a crazy bargain,” we’ve now added macadamia nut oil that contains antioxidants to hydrate your lips for a smooth, supple pout. Are we just crazy? Have we gone too far? Or do you deserve it? We definitely think so! One try, and we guarantee you will declare this your best lipstick brand of life.
My Experience with Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Blind Date:
I am not really fond of the flimsy packaging, but with a price tag of 99 cents, I am hardly complaining. The shiny black cylindrical packaging has a transparent cap which is not so sturdy. With undue pressure, it will crack open. Also, in some lipsticks, the cap doesn’t close tightly. The lipstick bullet may also come off. Yes, the packaging sucks at points. The product name is mentioned on a color-coded label at the base.
I am totally in love with this stunning berry pink. We tend to associate berry-plum shades with autumn-winter seasons, but this extremely beautiful color is so apt for springs and summers too. It imparts soft, feminine grace with a bit of boldness, making it a very versatile and wearable shade. It will suit a variety of skin tones.
The texture is creamy, moisturizing and hydrating. I completely agree with whatever claims have been made by the brand. Rich color, vitamins A and E, aloe vera, it really feels like putting silk on your lips! It gives a smooth, supple pout with no hint of dryness. It is in fact a very forgiving formula, doesn’t accentuate fine lines or flakiness.
This lipstick is greatly pigmented and deposits 90% of the color in a single swipe. I go over twice for a rich pigmented pout.
Being a creamy formula, it does transfer and gets significantly wiped off with a meal. However, it lasts with light munching and sipping. The staying power is around 4 hours. It fades evenly, so you still have a pretty pink pout which looks natural.
Pros of Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Blind Date:

- Supple pout.
- Decent staying power.
Cons of Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Blind Date:
- Flimsy packaging.

- Not transfer-proof.
