My Experience with Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Color – Protective Base Coat:

This protective base coat comes in a long and sleek bottle. The applicator is long and easy to use. I like the shape of the bottle. It is travel-friendly. The wand is long enough to coat the nails properly. The design is very convenient to use and paints the nails easily.

This polish has a very faint bluish purple tint to it. However, it doesn’t transfer the colour onto your nails. The polish is neither too thick nor too runny. I like the consistency of this nail protector.

It glides on very smoothly on my nails. It has a very smooth and creamy texture. It doesn’t get clumpy at all. Also, it hasn’t formed that dry crusty layer around the neck of the bottle, which is so nice.

The only problem with this protective base coat is that it takes too much time to dry out. Had it been a matter of a few minutes, I would have been cool with it. But even after like 10 minutes, this base coat refuses to dry down. And since waiting for your nails to dry makes you immobile, you have to eventually remove this base coat or apply another fast drying formula.

I don’t know how this will protect my nails since it takes forever to dry. The irony, in this case, is I have to protect my nails so that they don’t get damaged because of the wet polish that’s refusing to dry down.
