Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette – Comfort Zone

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette – Comfort Zone

These days, I am back on the eye makeup roll.  I am shopping my closet and raiding all the shadows and palettes I have and doing all sorts of color combos (well, I call it my ART!!! hmphhh).  I found this palette on one such roll. I have it since a year now and I guess I just forgot to review it, stuff like this needs to be famous!! Let me tell you why!

Product Description:

Eight dynamic, perfectly color-coordinated shades with high pigment and pearl for ultra-impact color. Shades can be used together or individually to create an endless variety of looks.

Comfort Zone 1

Cost:

$5.99 across all drugstores.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette – Comfort Zone:

I have heard that most of the shades are MAC dupes.  Well, I do not know about that (now that I have used it), but most of the shades look very pretty once applied. They are very pigmented and if you swirl your brush in there, there’s a lot of product picked up. I especially love the lighter shades because the color payoff is beautiful. It’s the darker shades that I’m uncomfortable with. The crease and definer shades are really weird and maybe the experts will do better, but they look like mud on me, but I would say that the quality is comparable to some high-end brands.

Comfort Zone 2

The staying power is quite decent when applied over a good primer. They stayed for around 4-5 hours on me after which I saw a little creasing, but I would say – it is a pleasure using this palette.

Pros of Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette – Comfort Zone:

  • Some say this palette has MAC dupes, but I didn’t really see it.
  • The color payoff is excellent.
  • Really pigmented.
  • I loved that mint green and butter shade.
  • At $6 a pop, they really are great value for money.

Cons of Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette – Comfort Zone:

  • The packaging is really delicate.
  • Not travel friendly at all, my favourite green broke on me 🙁
  • The definer shades suck (at least for me).
  • Does not have a matte shade. Its all shimmer and frost.

Verdict:

I will definitely buy more of this range and recommend. Wet n Wild and Milani are really great drugstore brands and have superb products for less. Ladies ordering from abroad should surely check these two brands out more than Elf. I swear!!!!
