Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Hot Paris Pink Review

Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Hot Paris Pink Review

Hello Ladies,

Today, I am going to review a hot pink lipstick from Wet n Wild. Wet n Wild has some amazing lip colors and I wish they were available in India.  Well, here is the lipstick.

Product Description:

Enriched with conditioning ingredients of Vitamins A and E and Aloe Vera for moist-looking lips.

Price and Quantity:

$1 or $2 (can’t remember the exact price ) for 3.6 grams.

Packaging:

Red Lipstick

The lipstick comes in a mix of matte gray and steel finish with a transparent plastic cap. The lipstick doesn’t go completely inside the case and can be seen through the plastic cap. Now, although it is good because it makes it easier for you to locate the color, you have to be careful while putting the cap back on the case or you may accidentally damage the lipstick (happens with me so many times as I use this lipstick quite often). As days go by, the gray color fades away making the case look very tacky. You can make that out from the pictures.

Ingredients:

The entire list of ingredients isn’t mentioned on the lipstick or website, but the product description says that it has Vitamins A and E and Aloe Vera.

Hot Paris Pink

My Take on Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Hot Paris Pink:

Color:

As the name says, this is indeed a hot pink color. This color reminds me of Colorbar True Gloss in Pink Stain except that the Colorbar True Gloss is glossier than this lipstick and a bit on the neon side. This color will look great on fair to wheatish skin tones. The color is intensely pigmented and goes opaque in just two swipes.

Texture:

Pink Lipstick

The lipstick is soft and creamy and glides on really well.  The finish is not extremely glossy but has silky finish and sheen.  My lips have gone quite dry and almost all the lip colors settle in the fine lines of my lips and I was surprised that this one didn’t accentuate the fine lines of my lips and did not dry out my lips further. If you have fairly good lips, this lip color will not settle at all into the fine lines of your lips. Go for a good lip balm underneath this lipstick if you have dry lips.

Staying Power:

It stays on my lips for about 3 to 4 hours + (no meals in between) with minimal fading. It won’t completely survive meals, but doesn’t bare out my lips either. It fades evenly and leaves a nice pink tint on the lips.

Pros of Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Hot Paris Pink:

  • Inexpensive.
  • Intensely pigmented.
  • Great for pigmented lips.
  • Soft and creamy.
  • Doesn’t settle into fine lines of the lips.
  • You can skip lip balm underneath this lipstick if you have fairly hydrated lips.

Cons of Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Hot Paris Pink:

  • Availability in India is an issue.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.
