You have started little exercising but you have been dieting for too long. Still there is no change in your weight! What could be wrong? Well, many things. We girls have the habit of trying out new diets but most of the time they don’t show any positive effect on the weighing scale. In today’s post I will tell you why your dieting is not working out for you?

Not Eating Enough:

If you are thinking eating less will result in healthy weight loss then you can’t be more wrong about it. Have 5-6 small portions a day. Eating less means your metabolism will slowly shut down and that can be really bad for your weight loss plan.

Changing Your Diet Plan Too Often:

So your friend started this GM diet and it worked for her. And another one had just fruit juices and it worked for her too. And now you are confused about which diet to choose. Well I have a solution for that! Consult a dietician. Changing your diet too often is not gonna show any results on your body.

Taking A High Protein Diet:

If you take more than the required amount, those proteins get stored in the body as fat. So taking high-protein bars and shakes is not a good idea. Have proteins but in limited quantities.

Setting Unrealistic Goals:

Ok so you want to lose 10 kgs in a month! Do you think you will be able to lose even 5? Set a goal keeping in mind your BMI, your daily amount of physical activity and your food intake. Do not expect overnight results from anything.

Having Too Little Water:

Sometimes we exercise and also eat properly but do not drink enough water. Water helps to flush out excess toxins from the body so water is very important when it comes to weight loss.

Hidden Calories In Beverages:

You counted the calories from the cookie you ate but forgot to include smoothie. The amount of calories we intake throughout the day from beverages can really add up in big numbers. So always take account of what you are drinking as well.

Skipping Breakfast:

A breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It helps to curb your cravings later in the day and also keeps our energy quotient up. So never skip the first meal of the day.

Not Doing Any Physical Activity:

Just by dieting you will never be able to achieve your ideal weight. Exercise is important to work your muscles, tone your body and losing the overall body weight. So incorporate half an hour regular exercise with healthy dieting.

Obsessing Too Much:

You have got one life to live. Have whatever you want but in moderation. Do not obsess over every calorie that you intake. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and you will be OK!

  1. Great tips! The drinking water one is the most important and most underrated issue!
    Also, taking too much artificial sweeteners (aspartame and sucralose, not stevia) is also one cause.
    My dietitian tells me that not taking supplements is also a cause.
    But i think we hardly get enough protein.. I being a hard core non vegetarian, still find it difficult to get 60gms of complete protein through diet alone.

  2. Water and protein are very important to lose weight. Also, I tend to lose weight easily when I stop eating gluten rich food.
