The crazy orange lip lady that I am, I gorge on each and every orange lip product that I can get my hands on. My eyes always keep hunting for some newly-launched orange lipstick, and when I saw that Colorbar had come up with a few new shades in their true gloss range, I couldn’t help but get my hands on the orange shade among them without even having the patience of trying it in the store.

My Experience with Colorbar Coral Light True Lip Gloss:

Colorbar True Gloss Lip Gloss in the shade “Coral Light” comes in the form of a transparent tube with a silver cap to it which looks quite classy. The cap closes securely making sure no lip gloss leaks out, therefore making it travel friendly. The lip gloss shade and number is mentioned on the bottom sticker of the lip gloss. The good part is, the expiry date is mentioned on the lip gloss tube, so you need not hold on to the outer carton box to check the expiry date. This lip gloss comes with a doe-foot sponge applicator for application.

Coming to the colour, Coral Light is a pale milky orange lip color with absolutely no shimmer. It is a perfect color for people who shy away from bright orange lip colors.  I feel this color will suit fair to medium complexioned beauties, but I do suggest trying out the shade before you pick it up at the store, because the shade doesn’t come out as bright as how it looks in the tube on the lips.

This lip gloss has smooth and buttery texture and glides on the lips easily and gives a healthy, supple look to them. It is quite moisturizing to the lips. It is a non-sticky lip gloss, and feels really light on the lips.

Pigmentation of this colour is really good. (It may look like this shade lacks in pigmentation when compared to the other shades from this range as it is a light shade). A single swipe gives good amount of colour, but you need a couple more swipes to bring out the intensity of the shade.

Coral Light lasts for a good 3-4 hours on the lips after which the intensity of the color lightens. As it is one of the lighter shades from the true gloss range, when the intensity lightens, you are left with no colour on the lips. It just leaves behind soft and moisturized lips. It does not stain the lips.

I feel this gloss would be perfect to top over matte orange lipsticks in the winters, as it is a non-sticky and non-gloppy lip gloss and will make your lips look healthy and supple throughout the wear of the lip color.  Before I forget, this lip gloss has a sweet vanilla smell to it, which isn’t overpowering.

• Couldn’t find this shade everywhere.
• Might not suit darker complexioned beauties.
• Isn’t as bright as how it looks in the tube.

Overall, Colorbar True Gloss Lip Gloss in the shade “Coral Light” is a subtle, non-sticky, milky orange lip color, apt for people who are intimidated to try bright orange lip colors.  If you are a lip gloss person, then you can definitely try this color, but in case you like bright lip colors, then you can miss this shade and try the other bright and pigmented shades from this range.
