Wrinkle-Free Packing

How to Pack Your Dresses for Travel

Looking good on vacations is what everyone likes. But the fun is when you can do so withount the pain of spending lots of time unpacking and ironing all the vacation clothes. It can be a bit tricky to get all those outfits in your suitcase without pulling them out in a wrinkled mess. However, learning a few packing basics can help avoid unnecessary ironing and costly last-minute trips to buy items that you forgot to pack.

Mentioned below are few tips that will make you look good and help you spend more time relaxing on your trip.

• Use the right suitcase. This is the first step which needs to be followed. Take a suitcase that is of right size i.e. in accordance to your clothes you want to take. Taking appropriate luggage will give the right space to your garments. Trying to fit your things in a smaller, box suitcase will only cause problems for you.

• Reduce your load. Jamming your suitcases to it utmost capacity will leave your clothes as crushed. Clothes become wrinkled almost as soon as you shove that last leaden item into your bag. The easiest things to get rid of things you can do without. Packing light saves time.

• Wrap your clothes in plastic. Friction causes wrinkling, plastic reduces friction and thus keep your clothes in good condition while travelling. Wrap your clothes in plastic bags after you’ve ironed your clothes, fold them nicely and put them in your suitcase. Use plastic zip-top bags to keep your shoes, shampoo bottles, or anything else you want to isolate from your good clothes.

• Roll and Fold: Rolling is a great space-saving and wrinkle-reducing choice for jeans and T-shirts. Take your jeans and fold them lengthwise so that the legs are stacked on top of each other. Now, starting from the cuff, roll your way up. For T-shirts, place face down, fold arms back and then fold it again lengthwise, now roll up and place in your bag or suitcase. This not only helps keep clothes from wrinkling, but also gives you more room in your suitcase. For sweaters and other non-T tops, the square fold is the way to go. Laying clothes out flat and placing different items on top of that pile creates one standard pile for you to pack and will make fewer wrinkles for each garment.

• Try the interlocking technique: You can also try the interlocking method of folding clothes in suitcases. Overlap two pieces of clothing flat and then fold them into each other so that each piece cushions. This will aid in defying wrinkles on your clothes. You can also placing a piece of tissue paper between each layer of clothing to avoid your clothes getting crushed.
