Rati and Chayanti are rocking IMBB with their beautiful makeup looks these days. I have umpteen bookmarks on their various looks and love them a lot. Every look has something to learn from and cherish. The creativity and precision in the looks they create are commendable. Today, I am reviewing one of the perfumes that I picked up a couple of weeks back from Yardley, called Yardley London April Violets Eau De Toilette.
Price: Rs. 4100 for 125ml
A clean fresh, green and sensual floral fragrance with top notes of violet leaves and citrus fruits combined with a gorgeous heart of orris, mimosa, rose and white peach, enhanced with sandalwood, vanilla and powdery notes in the base.
Alcohol Denat, Aqua(water), Parfum(Fragrance), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Citral, Farnesol, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Limonene, Isoeugenol, Amil Cinnamal.
My Experience with Yardley London April Violets Eau De Toilette:
Packaging: The perfume comes in a bright purple and cream colored cardboard packaging which has complete information about the ingredients. The perfume comes in a white glass bottle. The bottle is transparent and a heavy one with the golden colored cap. Frankly, the bottle didn’t impress me much and looked very average to me. The nozzle is quite sturdy and sprays well.
I have tried various products from Yardley London range — deodorants, powders, body lotion — in the past and they have fared on me decently. I wanted to give a try to their Perfume range. The range of April Violets was recently reviewed on IMBB, and the name had somehow stuck in my mind and I picked up this perfume. The perfume is made of fragrances from Violets, Iris, Jasmine flowers. As I had never tried anything in this fragrance, I wanted to try it.
The fragrance is quite strong and one can smell the combination of Violets, Jasmine and Iris in the top notes and the base notes have a powdery accord which smells of sweet vanilla. The fragrance is overwhelming and feels medicinal to me. I love sweet fragrances and this one was not of my kind. Thankfully, the staying power is not long and it fades away after 3 hours or so. I have tried this a couple of times on different occasions but I think it’s just not my type. I would never want to pick this perfume again and would recommend it you only if you love Violets.
