Yardley London English Lavender Moisturising Body Lotion Review

Weather in Mumbai is nice and chilly. I’m so loving it! With the awesome weather, my skin is becoming very dry. So I stocked up on my lotions to keep my skin moisturised. I bought this Lavender lotion and rose lotion from Yardley because I have never tried this range. I loved the rose one, let’s see how Lavender fares!

My Experience with Yardley London English Lavender Moisturising Body Lotion:

This lotion comes in a pearly plastic bottle with a pump applicator. I like this kind of packaging because it dispenses perfect amount of product and is very convenient to use. The front has the product name and the back displays all the other information pertaining to the product. This bottle is sleek but not travel friendly.

The lotion is white in colour and is very light. It gets absorbed into the skin quickly and you don’t feel the heaviness that most lotions have. It smells like fresh lavender and the fragrance is not too strong, but not too mild either. You can smell the lotion for at least 15 minutes post application. So those who mind the fragrance lingering around you, might have to re-think before purchasing. I usually don’t like the scent of lavender, but I kind of liked this one.

The lotion imparts moisture to my skin for about 4-5 hours. But I’ve also noticed that the drier parts of my body, like my feet feel dry after 2 hours, so I have to re-apply it. This is not the case for the rose variant. Once I apply the rose lotion, I don’t have to re-apply throughout the day. Hence I feel this is the only con for lavender one.

Pros of Yardley London English Lavender Moisturising Body Lotion:

• Affordable.
• Lovely fragrance that lingers.
• Nice packaging.
• Light texture.
• Gets absorbed quickly.
• Moisturises my skin for 4-5 hours.

Cons of Yardley London English Lavender Moisturising Body Lotion:

• Doesn’t provide adequate moisture to very dry skin.

For oily to normal skin- 4 / 5
For dry skin- 3 / 5

Final Verdict:
I would love to use this in summers, but this isn’t a winter lotion for dry skin. It is a good option for oily to normal skinned people.
