Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel Review

Hey All,

How have you been? I am having a nice time here in Andamans. The weather is so pleasant, raining here and there, now and then, and we always have cool breeze blowing. Did I tell you that we got our orders to move to Delhi? Yes, we did, but not sure when will we get to move. The high command here is not relieving my husband, but anyway, I am in no hurries at all.  In fact, I wish the later the better 😀  Okay, so about the review today. It is about an eye gel from the brand Yes To Cucumbers. It is called Yes to cucumbers soothing eye gel.

My Experience with Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel:

I think it is an okay product. A good product maybe, but nothing too great. It has its own flaws and its own positives. Let’s talk about the good things first.  Best thing is that it claims to be 99% natural which is an amazing thing in my opinion when it comes to using eye products. My eyes are very sensitive and they begin to water if I apply anything that is not gentle. This one gladly has not caused any problems.

Second, it claims it does not contain petroleum, SLS and parabens.

Eye gel

The product is of gel consistency which is very similar to Fab India Under Eye Gel. This gel does give a cooling sensation to eyes, but not as much as other gels do. This cooling sensation does not last for long either, but good thing is that it gets absorbed very fast; faster than Fab India Eye Gel.

So, you apply this gel under eyes and massage for a few seconds and it is all in there leaving no residue.

It helped me in getting fresh eyes in the morning, yes it does! So, it beats Fab India Under Eye Gel there, at least for me! I am sorry I am comparing it with Fab India product, but these are the only under eye gels I have used so far.

If I talk only about this gel, then I must say that it helped me in getting fresh eyes though no improvement was seen in under eye circles. Otherwise also, I feel no cream would help me with under eye circles as I develop the circles when I don’t get proper sleep. With proper sleep, they go on their own.

Smell of the gel is okay, a bit cucumber-y. You just need a little lesser than peanut size for both of your eyes, so 30 ml goes a long way depending on how you use it.  It comes in a pump, so its easy to use. The pumps work very well.

Best of all is that it DOES HELP IN REDUCING PUFFINESS AROUND THE EYES! YES IT DOES.

The bad thing is that it does not cool as much as other gels do. Also, as soon as I apply it, I get some cooling sensation, but immediately after that I got a burning sensation too. That baffled me. Because burning sensation from an eye gel is the last thing you expect. Then, I read the ingredients list and found that it has citric acid and I know that citric acid causes a slight burning sensation on my face, but it does not last long either. It vanishes and after a few usages, my skin got used to it and now I don’t feel the burns at all.

Also, $13 is a bit too much for this product.

So overall, it is a good gel that is 99% natural, gives you fresh and less puffy eyes in the morning, cools your eyes for sometime, gets absorbed easily leaving no residue, but does nothing on dark circles and comes for $13.

Do I Recommend Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel?

I like it, at least for the fact that it is natural and it works on puffy eyes.

Here is a photograph I clicked 2 days back. We had sun after a long hiatus and it looked splendid. This is a sunset view right across my home! Didn’t I tell you Andamans is my favorite place? 😉

  1. You always make me jealous by clicking such beautiful pics *clap* *clap* *cry* it is nothing like this here in Mumbai *headbang* and the gel looks decent but i wish it did something for under eye circles *haan ji* i sleep soo much still they don’t go… i think i should change my food habits *hihi* *hihi*

    1. Yeah.. MUmbai is no where close to Andamans in terms of natural beauty but Mumbai has its own charm. I love Mumbai too!! and yeah.. under eye circles can be cured only by lifestyle changes.

      How you doing? 🙂

  2. That’s a verrryy beautiful shot surabhi. 🙂 I gues sunder eye gels are more to do with the freshness of the under eyes only than the under eye circles. Atleast that’s what I have experienced. I liked the idea of under eye gel in a pump bottle. Good review 🙂
