Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash Review
Sorry for being so slow on the reviews. I just have been caught up with lots of stuff happening altogether. So anyway, this will be a review of a product I picked up from Ulta. It’s the Blueberry Ultra Hydrating Body Wash.
Wake up and treat your dry skin to incredibly moisturizing shea butter and anti-oxidant rich blueberries. After you pamper your skin with some serious decadence and softness, treat yourself to some coffee (or whatever it is that gets you going). This body wash also acts as bubble bath, so if you have five minutes to spare, just add a little warm running water and enjoy a suds parade.
How To Use:
Turn on water and lather up. Rinse and go on with your day. That’s it! Bonus: This body wash also acts as bubble bath. Just add a little warm running water and enjoy a suds parade.
Water, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Castoryl Maleate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Phenoxyethanol,Fragrance, Titanium Dioxide.*Certified Organic Ingredients.
My Experience with Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash:
As I have mentioned probably a hundred times already, this winter has not been kind to me skin. My skin has been feeling so dry everywhere which has me stocking up on these “hydrating and moisturizing” products as I truly need them right now. I am kind of pleased with this body wash though I will not put it in the category of the most amazing product which has worked miracles to improve my skin.
This is the first product I have tried from the “Yes To” brand. I do love the fact that all Yes to.. products are paraben free and full of natural organic ingredients.
I do not like the packaging on this. The opaque bottle makes it very hard to see how much product you have left. I am also not a fan the push down top which opens a very tiny hole with a very cheap plastic cap. I definitely think packaging could have been better.
The body wash is slightly on the thinner side. It does not produce an exceptional amount of lather unless you use a whole lot of the product. But using a loofah definitely helps in getting more lather. It does clean the body well and skin feels refreshed after using this.
It has a slightly fruity scent, which does not smell too much like blueberries or even like lavender which is quite a disappointment since I love the smell of blueberries and I literally have lavender-scented candles all over my house. The scent is also a little bit chemical-ish. The scent also does not linger onto skin for long.
Effect on Skin:
I did not see or feel a drastic improvement in my skin’s dryness since I started using this. Yes, it does help in controlling skin itchiness and flakiness for a while but I can definitely not skip body lotion after using this product. I cannot rely on this product alone to fix or even reduce my skin dryness issues. The claims of it being “ultra hydrating” falls short. It will be a good product for summer months and also for people who do not suffer from excessive dryness like me, but this product is just not for me.
Pros of Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash:
- Full of natural organic ingredients.
- Paraben free.
- Scent is not overwhelming.
- Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.
Cons of Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash:
- Did not help much in reducing my skin’s dryness.
- Does not smell anything like blueberries or lavender to me.
- I do not like the opaque heavy packaging.
- A lot of the product is needed to produce a decent lather all over body.
