Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore Polishing Body Scrub Review

Hello beauties,
It has been quite a while now that I didn’t pick any body product, but now the hot sunny days are here and it is super necessary to exfoliate the skin. I use shower gel on a daily basis but make it a point to use body scrubs once a week to get rid of the dead and dull cells. So here is one body scrub that I had mentioned in my shower routine post. So let’s jump onto the in-depth review.

My Experience with Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore Polishing Body Scrub:

Packaging: This is the first product that I tried from “Yes To Coconuts” range! But I have tried the Yes To brand before and my experience has been pretty good. So this body scrub comes in a lovely brown tub with a cap in brown and white with little coconuts over it. I really love their packaging since it looks very fun and quirky. It has all the details written very nicely over it. It is loaded with the scrub but I can carry it easily. The quantity is good for the price since I use it just once a week.

Consistency, Texture and Fragrance: The consistency is thick initially in the tub and when I take a dollop but it melts very easily on my skin. After it melts, it becomes runny since it contains sugar and salt. The texture is scrubby yet very gentle on the skin. I like harsh scrubs more so was a little disappointed with it but a lot of people would like this since it does not create any rashes. I thought it would have a creamy coconut fragrance but it turned out to something that I had never sniffed. It smells of coconuts but the smell isn’t natural; it is pretty artificial. It has the artificial coconuts smell but has a spicy hint too. I am not a big fan of the coconut smell so this wasn’t really exciting for me. But it will definitely transfer you to the beach and sea-shores.

Feel on the skin and results: I liked how it exfoliated my skin. It was gentle yet effective. The sugar and salt melted on my skin giving a warm sensation but the coconut husk was scrubby. But I like the The Body Shop ones more, but surely they cost double the amount. It did not give me any rashes so it is suitable for sensitive skin. But it irritated and itched my skin mildly, but it went in 5 minutes.

It cleans my skin very well removing all the dirt and build-up. My skin looked clean and in-fact healthier than before. It contains almond oil which very well slathers the moment I use the scrub. It hydrates my skin nicely leaving it glowing and softer but it claims to be made for very dry skin which is not true. The hydration is not enough for very dry skin, so beauties with such skin type might need an additional dose of moisture. So overall, a good scrub but not great!

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore Polishing Body Scrub?
No I wouldn’t buy it again because I like harsh scrubs, while this is more on the gentle side which is highly recommended for sensitive skin!
