Hope you are all doing great. Today, I am going to review a natural Micellar water from the brand “Yes To“. Read on to find out more about the “Yes to Cucumbers Calming Micellar Cleansing Water“.

How to Use:
Twist to unlock pump. Take a cotton ball or pad and push down on the pump (twice should do it!) for just the right amount of micellar water. Gently swipe across face, no need to rinse. The results – clean, glowy, calm, refreshed skin without the fuss!

My Experience with Yes to Cucumbers Calming Micellar Cleaansing Water:

“Yes To” is a skincare line that was created with the concept of bringing the freshest fruits and veggies made into skin care products to feed, pamper and spoil your skin with. Their products are all claimed to be natural and is based on fruits and vegetables. Yes to Cucumbers Micellar Cleansing Water comes housed in a transparent plastic bottle which has a handy flip top lid pump that allows you to press down to dispense the cleansing water right onto your cotton pad. Though the packaging may seem different, sadly, it doesn’t quite work out as great. First of all, you have to press down very slowly, otherwise, the water shoots all over the place and makes a mess. Even when you’re doing it slowly, you still end up with quite a mess on your hands. The pump doesn’t quite work well and micellar water either squirts everywhere or drips down the sides of the pump. This could have worked well if it had just a normal pump. Having said that this product needs better packaging that will allow just the right amount of product to be dispensed effortlessly.

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Micellar Water is a 95% natural product and is created for sensitive skin using cucumber extract to help soothe and calm skin. This product contains the following main ingredients- Witch Hazel Extract ( Renders its natural astringent and purifying properties to this formulation, helping the skin get rid of excess grease while tightening the pores to give you a smoother and more refreshed skin surface), Aloe (Has natural healing and barrier repairing properties that strengthens the skin and improves its resilience against future damage and development of multiple signs of skin aging), Niacinamide (Helps in enhancing the skin’s revitalized look, speeding up rejuvenation, and flooding the skin with antioxidants).

This micellar water has a mild fresh cucumber fragrance to it and has a very soothing and calming sensation when used on the skin. This product delivers deep and intense cleansing and it promises to deliver by dissolving various types of impurities covering your skin surface and draws out the grime stored in your pores. It also provides your skin with multiple added benefits to moisturize and rejuvenate your skin and revitalize your overall complexion. It removes makeup relatively well and takes off even waterproof makeup with ease. I find this one relatively soothing and enjoy using this.

Though I like its efficacy, I am concerned about the ingredient list. This product contains a chemical compound called EDTA which may cause some effects on the health if used frequently and I am really worried here, since this is claimed to be a natural product and I am pushed to question the genuineness of the brand itself. One more thing is that this was created for sensitive skin type, but it is still fragranced. It’s odd to me that they even include fragrance considering it is created to soothe sensitive skin. At the back, they have mentioned to avoid contact with eyes. To me, this translates as you can’t use it near your eyes which again questions the purpose of using this product for effective makeup removal.

Overall, this product is a effective makeup remover, but the poor packaging and questions that arise around the natural aspect of the product is really scary and I am really sure that I may not recommend it or use it anymore.
