Thanks a ton for liking my previous post on coffee and cinnamon body scrub. Now, as I had promised, I am back with yet another simple yet very effective facial scrub which can be easily used throughout the year, be it summers or winters. I would term it as “the best” facial scrub which I have been using for quite some time now. It’s the yogurt and almond facial scrub.

Ingredients:
- 3 – 4 almonds.
- 2 tbsp hung curd or thick yogurt.
- A few drops of almond oil for extra moisturizing effect during the winters (optional).

Procedure:
Step 1:
Grind the almonds into a coarse powder.
Step 2:
Take the hung curd in a bowl and beat it thoroughly till it reaches a smooth and creamy texture.
(Tip: Making hung curd is very easy. Put the curd in a soft cotton cloth and let the excess water drain away for some time. You are left behind with thick curd. This is what is required).
Step 3:
Mix the almond powder in the curd.
Step 4:
Add 2-3 drops of almond oil (if you are using it) and mix further.
The mixture should look like this:
Take this mixture in your finger tips and massage it all over you face, neck and shoulders in a circular motion. Then, rinse your face with lukewarm water. That’s it. Enjoy your instantly soft and supple skin.
This is a mild face scrub and can be used on any skin type. The curd moisturizes the skin and also provides a light beaching effect while the almond particles are an excellent source of vitamin E and exfoliates the skin as well. If you soak the almonds overnight and then grind it into a coarse paste, you can use this mixture almost regularly as it becomes a soft scrub.
Hope you liked reading the post and will try the scrub 🙂

This is so easy…..but I want to ask you if these coarse particles are ok for the face or they should be more fine???? I love to scrub but have only used the products available in market…..thanks for the idea
Sheen.. its totally upto you how fine you want the powder to be.. 🙂 moreover, unroasted almonds are quiet soft, so even if they are a bit more coarse, they are not going to harm the facial skin in anyway.. but if you are apprehensive about it just grind it into a fine powder.. do try it.. u will definitely feel the difference .. 🙂
this looks SO good! 😀 it would give a nutrition boost to the skin while scrubbing it… loved the idea! thanks 🙂
