YSL 213 Orange Seventies Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick Review

I am obsessed with YSL lipsticks. The formula is hands down one of my favourite lipstick formulas. It’s comfortable on the lips, pigmented and leaves a beautiful stain behind that doesn’t make your lips look flat after the lipstick is worn off. The shade that I will be reviewing today is called 213 Orange Seventies and it offers a matte finish.

Price: $37
Product Description:
This perfect matte lipstick is infused with a velvet complex for a luxuriously smooth application and moisturising jojoba oil for long lasting comfort. Intense color pigments for a vibrant touch of color for up to 6 hours of long wear. Forbidden, passionate, seductive, scandalous, the iconic YSL lipstick is redefined in rock radiant matte shades with Rouge Pur Couture The Mats.

My Experience with YSL 213 Orange Seventies Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick:

Packaging:
The packaging is absolutely stunning. It comes in a gold colour tube which feels very high end with the gold tube with black detailing and black YSL logo. It’s heavy and steady and feels absolutely luxurious. Unlike the satin formula, the matte ones do not have a YSL logo engraved on the bullet of the lipstick. The shade number is printed at the bottom of the tube.

Scent:
It has a typical YSL fruity–floral scent, which all of the YSL products have. The scent doesn’t fade away.

Shade and Texture:
The shade Orange Seventies is a stunning orangey red. It is a universally flattering shade. I prefer this formula over the satin formula. This one feels better and also lasts better than the satin formula. YSL mats are highly pigmented and offer medium coverage in a single swipe. These can be built up to full coverage in just two swipes. This lipstick literally feels like applying butter on the lips.

The matte formula sits comfortably on the lips. It keeps the lips very hydrated and feels lightweight. The best part of YSL mats is that this range does not accentuate any dry patches on my lips. These also do not bleed or feather around my lips. When it comes to the lasting power, these do last 5 to 6 hours and also leave a stain behind. Mats also survive meals in between and fade out evenly.

Pros of YSL 213 Orange Seventies Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick:

• The formula is very comfortable and hydrating.
• Does not accentuate any dry patches.
• Fades evenly.
• Leaves a beautiful stain behind.
• Beautiful colour range, there is something for everyone.
• Lasts better than the satin formula.
• Beautiful packaging.

Cons of YSL 213 Orange Seventies Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick:

• None.

IMBB Rating: 5/5
Verdict:
I enjoy the formula of YSL lipsticks. I will definitely purchase more shades. Yes, it’s pricey but it’s worth every penny!
