YSL Softness Cleansing Silky Balm Radiance Revealer Review

Hi Beauties,

I feel, I am coming a full circle here. Very soon, I will be completing my one year with IMBB. As the day comes nearer, I am feeling…quite emotional really. I still remember these days last year, when I was actively contemplating to start writing for IMBB. I had quite a few products at that time, and it was a beautiful spring last year. However, my journey started a bit later and by that time, the summers had already descended and all this stuff was relegated to the dark recesses of my drawers. Now, that the spring has finally come (though can’t say that the winters have gone completely); I have again done a major spring cleaning of my house; and what do I find!! All my old stuff was hibernating and I just could not complete this year, and begin a new one without reviewing some of my older stuff. Hence, in the few next posts, I shall be reviewing a few of my older stuff. I shall be starting with this cleanser – my oldest product, which I bought more than 2 years back, when I did not know any better. Since then, and more so since beginning this beautiful journey, I have tried quite a few cleansers. Some were hits and some were misses. So, here’s to new beginnings…cheers!!!

My Experience with YSL Softness Cleansing Silky Balm Radiance Revealer:

Well, there are some brands for makeup and some for skin care and I am not making the mistake of merging any more lines. I have had the worst luck with the skin care products of the makeup giants and I tend to be very careful now.

Packaging:  It comes in a pink colored tube with a flip cap nozzle on top. All the details are written on the packaging.

Cream:  The product has a cream-like consistency. It is white in color and has a mild, pleasant fragrance. It is to be massaged on dry skin and when emulsified with a few drops of water, it turns into a white emulsion; though that’s lesser than Clinique Cleansing Balm. It is then to be washed off with water.

Results:

The cleanser is good, mainly for “un-made up”skin. If you have come from outside without wearing makeup or just a daily morning time cleanser or even as the second cleanser in a double cleanse routine, this will work for you. This one is not going to effectively remove all your makeup.

YSL Softness Cleansing Silky Balm Radiance Revealer

The cleanser is good for normal to dry skin. It leaves a moisturising cream like veil on your face (just like Dove cleansers); which you may leave intact; or you will need a lot of water if you wish to remove it. This has helped me out in winters, in not drying out my face any further. It has not caused any breakouts or blocked pores on my face. My face feels clean, though not squeaky clean; soft smooth and moisturised.
