My Experience with Yves Rocher Anti-Hair Loss Stimulating Shampoo:
The shampoo comes in a bright green plastic bottle. The bottle is translucent and you can see the quantity of the product inside when you hold against the light. The brown screw cap has a flip which closes pretty tight, but like all Yves Rocher bottle, this one too is very tight and can peel your nails. The bottle comes without any seal. There is information of the product on the bottle. The design is similar to other Yves Rocher shampoo bottles and comes in a 300 ml bottle, which is pretty big. However, this one has a black background in comparison to the white labels of the other product.
The shampoo is pearl white and has a creamy texture. It has a semi-thick consistency. A little product is more than enough for a good cleanse. The smell of the shampoo is fresh, but it has a very weird plant like fragrance that puts me off. Even though I want to try organic stuff, I am guilty of wishing to have some mild fragrance. The smell also stays for a long period after the hair is washed off.
Like the name suggests, the shampoo is formulated to combat hair loss. The shampoo is gentle and cleanses the hair well. Since it doesn’t contain SLS, it doesn’t lather very well and there is a big tendency of using more product than necessary and this can cause drying out of the hair. Thus, care must be taken to not use unnecessary quantity.
The shampoo cleanses the hair from dirt and oil effectively. The shampoo doesn’t help in eliminating any dryness or frizz. It doesn’t magically reduces tangles too. It makes hair a little soft but not that can be noticed so, a conditioner is a must to be followed up. This product doesn’t have a matching conditioner and I use Dr Organic Moroccan oil to seal in the moisture after the wash, if I skip using a good conditioner.
The product is claimed to be made from natural ingredients and is free from parabens or silicones. Coming to its main job of anti-hair loss. I have to agree that after 2-3 washes, I have been noticing less hair strands in my bathroom. There is also fewer hair that gets pulled out on my comb. The product is definitely strengthening my hair. The hair also feels fuller after wash, which is great. The product is gentle and suitable for all kind of hair. But, I have heard that the presence of lupines which is also on the picture of the shampoo label can be allergic to few so, a test is needed to avoid itchy scalp. The product however contains ALS, which is less harmful than SLS. But overall, if you are looking for a shampoo to combat hair fall, do give this a try.
