Today’s review is about Yves Rocher Coconut Bath and Shower Gel. The Yves Rocher Coconut Bath and Shower Gel is the first shower gel I tried from the whole lot that I shopped a while back. Being a South Indian, I am always drawn towards coconut inspired products. I am so drawn to the smell of coconut and this is the best example. The shower gel has a major component from plant extracts, making it a botanical product. Please note that it is not organic. In fact, this brand even tests on animals.
Price: €4 for 200ml
The pleasure of a gentle shower gel with a sensual fragrance. For a voluptuous and sensual break under the shower or in the bath, our unique chain of experts since 1959, have chosen and combined Organic Aloe Vera gel with a Coconut extract. The skin is gently cleansed and delicately perfumed. Tested under dermatological supervision.
My Experience with Yves Rocher Coconut Bath and Shower Gel:
The shower gel comes in a small round plastic container with a flip lid. The packaging is very sturdy. The flap lid sometimes gets a little difficult to open as it’s a little tight. It can easily damage the nails. So, I make sure not to use the nails to open it. But it’s travel safe since there is no chance that the flap would open up automatically. The bottle is transparent, which makes it easy to know the amount of the product left. The packaging is sturdy and looks pretty on the bathroom counter.
The consistency of the product is viscous, not water like but a little thicker. It is white in colour. I use twice the walnut size for my entire body. The shower gel spreads very easily on the skin and also creates a good amount of lather. The skin feels smooth and clean after the shower. The product does not leave the skin dry. The fragrance is worth talking about. It has a mild but long lasting coconut, aloe vera and earthy notes. The fragrance is definitely hard to describe, but is unbelievably good. Most of you will love the fragrance. The fragrance lasts for few hours after wash.
I would recommend using the complementing body lotion so that the fragrance doesn’t interfere with other products. One can even skip the perfume when shower gel and the same body lotion are used. The shower gel did not cause any kind of irritation to the skin. Overall, it’s a very nice product. I love it. The fact that the product contains coconut and aloe vera extracts is a great selling point. I would prefer this gel for summer months due to the summer fragrance and aloe vera which soothes the sun damaged skin.
