Yves Rocher Eyeshadow – Figue Noir Review

Yves Rocher Eyeshadow – Figue Noir Review

Hey all the lovelies!

I have another review for you guys, this time of an eyeshadow from Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher is available at most of the Guardian stores, and they have these lovely offers on most eyeshadows all the time. So, if you like this review, you know where to get this!

I have black/brown eyes and I think purple goes best with dark eyes. So, I pick up purple eyeshadows in all shapes, sizes, and brands. This was one such purchase. The shade is called “Figue Noir” and I completely love the name – adds a bit of mystery, doesn’t it?

Price:

Like I mentioned, they usually have discounts on eyeshadows and I picked up 2 for Rs. 400. So, this one is Rs. 200 for 3 gm.

Texture:

I have quite a few eyeshadows from this brand and I totally adore their quality at the price they come in. They are super smooth and buttery and very easy to apply.  I mostly buy dark shades for eyeshadows, so won’t be able to comment on the light shades, but this one is superbly pigmented and just a couple of swipes are enough to show up on my lids. These are extremely easy to blend too. There is very minimal fallout and it’s easy to pickup with any brush.

Shade:

Now, let”s come to the shade! I love love love it totally! Its such a my kind of shade – you would know if you have seen some of my EOTDs on IMBB! I love dark smokey colors on my eyes and this one is so perfect for lending that perfect smokey look. I usually use this as a crease color and in the outer-V with MAC’s Expensive Pink or Plum Dressing on the lids, but it works just as well with any khaki or olive green shadow on the lids! I won’t use it as an overall lid color though. The color is a rich dark purple with a blackish tinge to it and it has a pearly velvety finish. There is a slight sheen that looks gorgeous when used as a crease color!

Staying Power:

No complaints when used with a primer – about 6-7 hours.  I don’t know how long it stays without a primer as I have never tried it.

Overall Verdict:

As if I need to spell it out! I love it and totally recommend it to everyone who loves slightly heavy and edgy eye makeup! The finish, price, texture are to die for.

IMBB Rating:

15/5 😀

Hope you like the review. Till then, take care and be good 😀

  2. Where are you based aarbee ? I have only seen guardian stores in some south asian countries …Yves Rocher has their own stand alone stores too right ?

Would love to try this brand

    1. I am in Delhi Supriya – YR doesnt have standalone outlets here but I remember seeing the standalone stores in Thailand and SG. In india I have only seen them at Guardian

        1. so the guardian at the international terminal here stocks lipsticks, glosses, and eyeshadows – but I havent seen other products iike foundies, blushes or compact. But last time I went, they dint have the lippies, only eyeshadows. I have seen these eyeshadows at the city walk outlet as well
