Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Micellar Water 2 in 1 Review

Product Purchased By IMBB

Hello all!

The micellar water trend is popular nowadays and I wanted to try it out too. Hence I picked this one up by Yves Rocher. Let’s find out how it fared for me.

525 INR for 200 ml.

My Experience with Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Micellar Water:

Packaging: This micellar water comes in a greenish blue plastic bottle. It has a flip cap which dispenses the product nicely. The details about the product are printed around the bottle. The bottle is sturdy but you can’t really travel with this bottle. The flip cap is leak proof but it might leak while travelling.

The micellar water is very liquidy, almost like water and it is greenish blue in colour. It has a pleasant fragrance. The fragrance is slightly strong but doesn’t last for a long time. You have to take a cotton ball and pour some of the micellar water, and then rub your face gently with it. The one thing that made me buy this particular variant of micellar water from Yves Rocher is that it says “hydrating,” but I would beg to differ. It strips my face of all the natural oils, making my face super dry.

It doesn’t sting my eyes, but it hardly removes anything other than Lakme Liquid Liner. This micellar water will remove it completely in 2-3 swipes. Other than that, I have to go over so many times with a cotton ball that’s drenched in the micellar water. It won’t remove my kajal, lipstick or any other makeup products easily. It takes so many swipes that by the end of it, my skin feels dry, stretchy and slightly red because of all the swipes. I always end up using baby wipes to remove the leftover makeup off.

It hasn’t broken me out so far, but I won’t be using it any further to remove any makeup. I find using this to remove my makeup as a punishment to my skin. Even as regular micellar water, this won’t be the product I’d be reaching for because it makes my skin so dry. This was a very bad purchase and I feel bad about wasting so much money on this bottle of nothing! This does practically nothing to my skin.

IMBB Rating:
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Micellar Water 2 in 1?
This micellar water does absolutely nothing apart from stripping my face of its natural oils and making it go from normal to super dry. And because of it, I can’t even use it to tone my skin tone. So no I wouldn’t recommend it to normal to combinational skin although it is meant for this category.
