I had recently purchased a newly launched shower gel from Yves Rocher. I have been using them for a while and today’s review is all about Yves Rocher Pomegranate Pink Berries Energizing Shower Gel. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Yves Rocher Pomegranate Pink Berries Energizing Shower Gel:

The product comes in a transparent round plastic bottle with a green cap. The product comes unsealed. Due to the transparent package, you can clearly see the contents through it. The packaging is pretty great and the bottle is sturdy. It doesn’t crack or breaks open with falls! The cap can be used as a screw cap as well. The flip cap is tight and there are no chances of leakage. But, this is very tight and is difficult to open especially with wet hands. Overall the packaging is satisfactory. The product can be a good travel companion.

The bottle looks bright pink in color and this is because of the shower gel that is present inside. The shower gel is dark pink in color similar to Pomegranate seeds and has a medium thick, gel like consistency. The shower gel smells rich. It smells fruity and is very sweet. I think this can be an issue if you are not fond of stronger scents. However, the scent lasts only in the shower and it completely fades away after a while.

The product lathers very well and a little product is more than enough for a good cleanse with or without a loofah. It cleanses the skin thoroughly and removes any direct or grime from the skin effectively. It also effectively removes oil from the skin and I have noticed that it removes the thickest Castor oil in just one go.

Once dried off, the shower gel is not very moisturizing on the skin. I notice that my skin gets dry within 10 minutes and you can see the flaky dryness. A good moisturizer is a must to be followed up or else you will end up with itchy dry skin. Since it is still winter, I am not sure if the dryness is more and if it does subdue for summers. However, since I have very dry skin, using this product just worsens the condition. The product might not be a good choice for dry skin. The product eliminates the body odour completely and is very refreshing. The product has 98% natural ingredients and is free from paraben. It doesn’t cause any irritation too. It is a good product but unfortunately not nourishing and makes my skin dry. I probably will save this one for summer and see how it works.
