As much as sunscreens are required, after-sun lotions are also needed to soothe the damaged skin. I usually shop for after-sun creams during the scorching summer as I need to go to a beach or out. I have been using Lakme After-sun for a long time and since I do not get them here, I was looking for something, and I love Yves Rocher products as they are natural and I like what they deliver. So, I decided to pick up Yves Rocher Protectyl Vegetal After Sun 3 in 1 Moisturizing Lotion. Read on to know more about the product!

My Experience with Yves Rocher Protectyl Vegetal After Sun 3 in 1 Moisturizing Lotion:
The moisturizing lotion comes in a plastic blue bottle with a white cap. The name and everything else is stuck on it and over the period of time, the sticker comes off. The design is pretty different and most of the information is available on the back of the bottle. The flip cap is easy to use and prevents any leaking, making it a perfect travel companion. The bottle is opaque, and thus, you will not be able to see the quantity remaining but, the bright blue bottle shines on the beach, making it easy to spot among the crowd.
The lotion is thick and creamy and has an off white-yellow color. The smell is amazing and it takes you to a magical wonderland. I absolutely have a weakness for monoi scents. The smell stays for around 30-45 minutes and then fades away.
The lotion gets absorbed very quickly and doesn’t leave any residue. Since it contains aloe vera, it instantly soothes the sun-burnt skin and gives a cooling sensation. The feeling is refreshing and it hydrates the skin effectively. The lotion makes the skin very soft and smooth and moisturizes it effectively. I didn’t have to follow up with a lotion after using the after-sun. The moisturization stayed for more than 8 hours, which is a big plus.
The product has 3-in-1 properties: it calms the burnt skin, hydrates the skin and helps in keeping the tan longer. I already have wheatish skin tone which is susceptible to intense tanning and while I find ways to remove them, this lotion did lengthen the process. I didn’t realize it at the start. So, if you are using this, it does keep the tan from disappearing. The product can be used for both body and face. It didn’t cause me any breakouts and retained the moisture on my face too. I am happy with the lotion and it does what it promises. I wished it contained natural ingredients like most of the Yves Rocher products do. But unfortunately, it contains parabens and mineral oil, which is a bummer.
