Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

Hello beauties,

I have oily skin since my early teens, and my skin has always been plagued by the issues every oily-skinned girl encounters. Acne, blackheads, and whiteheads, enlarged pores: you name it and I have it! With age, the effect of raging hormones subsided, but my oiliness remained. With maturity, I realized how essential a cleanser is for me, which doesn’t dry out my skin yet clears the grease and grime. Even though I took to toning, “moisturizing” has been an underrated option for me. I have never diligently moisturized my face, maybe because I suffered from the misconception that oily skin doesn’t require moisturization. So, I never stuck to night creams and never invested in a good hydrating cream. One fine day, I was browsing through an online shopping site and I came across Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream. I really love Yves Rocher as a brand and the online reviews were extremely promising. When IMBB gave me the chance to pick a few products, I went ahead and bought this. After a few weeks of using this, I am ready with the review. Normally I would have waited at least a couple of months to review a cream, but this little jar of goodness made me fall in love, with my oily skin! Let’s quickly know more about this cream.

My Experience with Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream:

Packaging: It comes in a small glass jar which is enclosed in a beautiful cardboard box. The aesthetically appealing green and white packaging looks luxe yet not over the top. The screw-on lid shuts tightly and ensures that no spillage occurs. Also, I would call it fairly travel safe.

If I have to say the first thing I love about this gel-cream, I would definitely say it is the fragrance. The scent is refreshing and very soothing, and immediately sends your skin into relax mode. It has cucumber and aqua notes, which I find very calming and yet invigorating to my senses.

The texture of this cream is silky. The consistency is definitely intermediate to that of a gel and a cream, so you can say it combines best of both worlds. You need a pea-sized amount for your face. It feels incredibly soft and nourishing on skin.

It makes your skin velvety smooth. I won’t say it is completely non-greasy, but it absorbs within a few minutes and leaves a silky film on face. It is very lightweight and doesn’t clog your pores. I have always shied away from using night creams, since they clogged my pores and I inevitably woke up to a face full of zits. This cream did not let that happen. I was surprised that in morning, my skin looked clear and soft, not oily! Within a few days, my skin looked glowing because my cream worked like a miracle at night, restoring the vitality and health of my skin. There were no breakouts even once, instead I was greeted by hydrated and supple skin every morning.

Another major change that I noticed in applying makeup – my BB cream just glides on my skin now and blends beautifully when compared to the previously patchy application. My skin can tolerate makeup better and it stays better.

I found a few old acne spots fading, but deeper blemishes have not significantly lightened, but I am hoping with consistent usage, even that will happen. I can’t stop praising about this cream, which revolutionized my skin care and shattered my misconception for good that oily skin doesn’t need a moisturization. Choosing the right one definitely makes difference in your skin.
