My Experience with Yves Rocher Volumizing Shampoo:
Yves Rocher Volumizing Shampoo comes in a green plastic bottle with a brown cap – very similar to all their existing shampoo ranges. The bottle is translucent and you can see the quantity of the shampoo. The flip cap is very tight and is very difficult to open, especially in the shower. The screw cap does a lot of help in this case.
The shampoo doesn’t come sealed and there is a lot of information on the bottle. The shampoo is clear and has a gel-like consistency. The texture is semi thick and has a very pleasant flowery fragrance. The fragrance doesn’t last long and disappears few minutes after rinsing. The shampoo lathers very well and is also easy to rinse off.
The hair feels soft when rinsing off and you can instantly feel the fullness in the hair. After drying, hair feels dry and as if natural oils have been stripped off. So, a conditioner is a must to keep the mane looking healthy. The shampoo completely cleanses the hair. I had heavy castor oil on my hair and with just one wash the shampoo did its magic. This shampoo adds a bit of shine and lustre to the hair.
Coming to its main purpose, the shampoo does add a bounce to the hair and lifts it up. The volume is not great but it is noticeable. The hair feels a bit pumped up, and with a little tease, you can easily create a beautiful pouffe. The shampoo doesn’t make the hair oily and since I have an oily scalp, this is a plus. I can go without washing my hair for around 2-3 days.
The shampoo doesn’t contain paraben, silicone and artificial colourants and is made from organically grown and natural ingredients. The bottle is also recyclable and this is a plus for environmental purposes. The product does contain ALS, though. The results from the shampoo last long and are not temporary.
So, summing up:
