Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation Review

Hi beauties,

I am a hoarder of foundations. I can’t seem to have enough of them. Even now, I have 5 foundations – all in use. I have normal to dry skin without major blemishes. Hence, I usually prefer light coverage foundations so that my skin looks natural yet perfect – naturally perfect. Today, I am going to review yet another foundation from my stash that I am in love with.

My Experience with Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation:

This foundation comes in a beautiful golden box packaging which is sheer luxury. All the details of the foundation are mentioned on the box.  The foundation comes in a heavy and sturdy glass bottle with a golden cap. The bottle has 30 ml of product. On opening the bottle, there is a nozzle present (like those in perfume bottles). This makes the product extremely hygienic indeed. It has a very nice powdery kind of smell (like Pond’s talc).  There are 22 shades available divided into Warm (BD: Beige Dore BD10-BD70), Neutral (B: Beige B10-B80) and Cool (BR: Beige Rose BR10-BR60).

The foundation has a creamy gel texture. It is extremely smooth to blend. On blending, it gives sheer coverage which can be easily built up to medium. On no occasion does it look heavy or cakey on the face. It does not settle down in fine wrinkles and pores of the skin. Shimmer is very subtle (don’t worry; you won’t look like a disco ball). It gives an illuminating, dewy and a subtle glow from inside look which settles down into matte and almost satiny kind of finish within a short period of time. It is extremely long lasting with a wear time of 8-10 hours after which it starts to fade.  It is extremely good for normal to dry skin types with minimum skin issues.  However,it is not for people with oily skin or having major scar and blemishes on their skin.

One to two pumps of the nozzle is enough to cover face and neck. I usually use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush or my MAC stippling brush to spread and blend the foundation. However you may also use a flat foundation brush for this since it is easily spreadable and extremely blendable. It has SPF 19/PA++ sunscreen factor in it, which is not suitable for harsh Indian sun, but still it’s okay.  It gives a beautiful natural effect on flash photography. It has never oxidised on me, nor has it broken me out.

    1. Hi glad you liked it. I used to think that all sheer foundations are dewy… But this one changed my mindset. It has some illuminating particles to give u a dewy look… But actually it is a matte finish foundation with really very subtle shimmer. Being matte, it is long lasting as well
