Za Total Hydration Energy Mist Review

By Sadhna Agarwal

Hey guys,
As I have said in my earlier post, I bought some stuff to review and this face mist is one of those items. For a really long time I had made up my mind that if I was ever going to buy a face mist it would be Mac Fix + but I found it way out of my budget. When my favorite skincare brand Za comes up with a face mist at half the price of fix + I had to give it a try. As I read the claims and the reviews I began to feel that maybe this was a close dupe of the fix +, however I have nothing to compare to. So long story short, the claims really pushed me to buy this and let’s read on further to see whether it stands up to its claims.

Za Total Hydration Energy Mist

Product Description:

Za Total Hydration Energy Mist

Ingredients:

Za Total Hydration Energy Mist

Directions:

Za Total Hydration Energy Mist

Price: INR 549 for 80 ML (I got it at a discounted price from Beauty Centre).

My Take on Za Total Hydration Energy Mist:

Packaging: This face mist comes in a cute little baby pink bottle which makes me think of babies and baby lotions which makes me very excited as I love baby products 😛 . The bottle is curved from the middle because of which gives a really nice grip plus it gives the bottle a very cute shape. The mist is sprayed on with a nozzle and the mist is not very runny or watery but the nozzle sprays on a very fine amount so that it isn’t just sitting on top of the skin. The bottle may look quite small but it has sufficient product inside it. The nozzle does not spray a huge amount of the mist so you shouldn’t be concerned about this bottle getting over soon. Once again, this too doesn’t come housed in an outer carton which is fine by me as the bottle itself has all the details on it.

Experience: When the SA sprayed some of it on my face the first thing that made me fall in love with this was its smell. It has a very sweet and soft smell, kind of like roses but it’s the same fragrance typical of their perfect solution range. Now coming to its claims, this face mist really does make me feel very fresh especially now that the climate is so humid. It also helps in keeping my face very soft and moisturized, since I have very dry skin it works as a gentle moisturizer for me during summers and helps keep the flakiness at bay.

Once the product is well massaged into the skin it imparts a really healthy looking glow making me look like I’m glowing from within. My face looks very dewy and well hydrated, and since it is very gentle it doesn’t make my face look oily. The SA told me that it could be used over makeup as well but what I noticed was that the mist is sprayed on unevenly because of which you will end up having one area with a lot of product and other area with little or no product at all. In order to get an even amount of product everywhere, it is necessary to gently massage the face so that it can sink in well. I don’t think that it can help set the makeup or make it last longer but it makes a good base for the makeup and the foundation or BB cream just glides onto the face effortlessly. I spray a little bit of this on my foundation brush and viola, I have no problems in blending.

Overall I’m really loving this facial mist at the moment so let’s sum up the pros and cons

Pros of Za Total Hydration Energy Mist:

• Sweet and soft fragrance.
• Works well as a gentle moisturizer.
• Imparts a healthy glow to the face.
• Helps the makeup to glide on easily.
• Feels very refreshing.

Cons of Za Total Hydration Energy Mist:

• Spreads a little unevenly.
• May not be feasible to use on top of makeup.
• Has a bitter taste so close your lips while applying it. (sounds more of a warning than a con)
• Contains parabens.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5 (.5 deducted because I don’t want to jinx this product 😛 ).

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Za Total Hydration Energy Mist?
Yes to both. This energy mist is really amazing and I think it should work on all skin types so do give it a go and I will definitely repurchase it once I’m done with this bottle.

  1. A hydrating mist sounds good as long as it does not leave a greasy layer, I should start checking out za products at the counter 🙂

  2. Huh, I think I will try this mist. I have dry skin like you do so if this one suits your skin tone, it should mine too. Parabens are a big turn off but I guess I can ignore, or atleast try to ignore, this fact and continue to use this mist. 😀

    1. I know parabens was a turn off for me too. considering Za products almost never contain parabens i did not even bother checking the ingredients list while at the counter. It was only when I was taking pictures for the review that I noticed it. 🙁

  3. I like trying out new mists, but don’t experiment much with my skin. Pure rose water by Kama Ayurveda or Forest Essentials is my HG face mist. They are amazing, keep my skin cool, control oil without drying out my skin. But, I like the healthy glow this one imparts to skin too. 🙂

    1. Yes even i dont like to experiment with my skin but Za is a skincare brand that I trust and I can actually see the results which is why I bought this even though I had made up my mind about fix + 😛

  4. Nice Review Sadhna. i love za products. i have exfoliating clay and whitening serum from this Brand. They are amazing .I will give this a try for sure.

  5. I am using Forest Essentials Panchpushp Mist for a long time and got bored with it. So was searching for a new mist for quite some time. Now I am tempted to use this one after hearing that it gives instant glow to the face. Although feeling skeptical because of my super oily skin and lots of chemical in the mist. But I think I should give it a try…..after all its Za 🙂
