Zoeva Floral Crown Luxe Cream Lipstick Review

I don’t know if it happens with just me or whether it’s common with you too that I am never done with buying stuff and end up shopping even when I do not need things. Don’t know when I will finish the current stash of cosmetics, but I am so greedy 😛 Here comes another lipstick from my stock and the very first one from this brand – Zoeva – Luxe Cream Lipstick in Floral Crown.

My Experience with Zoeva Floral Crown Luxe Cream Lipstick:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a grey metallic cardboard box. The lipstick bullet is housed in a similar gray metallic mirror finish body. The cap shuts with a magnetic effect and would not open by itself in the bag or purse. The lipstick is sleek and easy to carry around, but due to its smooth and glossy mirror finish, the outer case tends to slip from the hands. The name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.

Shade:  “Floral Crown” is a very pretty every day wearable pink shade. It is not very bright or flashy. When I saw it on the website, it seemed to be more pink, I mean a tad darker than it actually is. When I actually saw it, I realized it tends to appear a little neon pink and maybe I would not be able to carry it off, but I think it looks pretty good now when I wear it actually.

It does not have any shimmer particles. It is not very glossy, but at the same time, not very matte either. The texture is creamy as the company claims and glides smoothly on the lips. I generally use a lip balm beneath for my dry lips. Although it is creamy, it doesn’t seem to be very hydrating, but with the use of lip balm, one might not feel the dryness for some time.

The pigmentation is awesome and the color is buildable from light to dark, but too much layering makes it a bit sticky on the lips. Also, this color will accentuate any dry patches or flakiness. It feels light on the lips.

The staying power is good enough for 4-5 hours after which it starts to fade away, but leaves a pink tint on the lips.

This color would not be able to conceal the pigment on lips and would look darker on them. Also, I believe that women with fair skin tone would totally rock this color, but it would wash out dusky skin tones. These are not waterproof and tend to transfer a bit to the cutlery, but overall, I am happy with this lipstick.
