Skin Tone: Medium to Dusky

Hello Girls,
Zoeva recently released a lot of new lip products. They came up with a new line of matte liquid lipsticks and also a set of lip pencils. I really liked their lipsticks that I went ahead and picked some lip pencils also. So today, I am going to talk about Zoeva Graphic Lips in the shade “Deep Thoughts”. Read on to find out whether this is a hit or miss.

Product Description:
What it is:
An extra matte lip pencil for well-defined application and effortless, long-wearing lip definition with high opacity.
What it does:
From gentle shades to vivid colour statements, ZOEVA Graphic Lips offer everything your beauty heart desires. Sharply define and shape your lips with an ultra-precise and highly pigmented texture, and posh up your look with a choice of extra matte shades from soft rosé to deep plum. These wooden lip liners allow for clean, well-defined application and effortless, long-wearing lip definition with high opacity.
My Experience with Zoeva Graphic Lips Deep Thoughts:
Packaging: This lip pencil comes packaged in a black cardboard box which contains all the product details and the shade name. The lip pencil itself is a regular sharpenable wooden pencil, which has a color-coded strip at the bottom that makes the identification of the actual shade all the more easy. The packaging is pretty sturdy and neat and looks more like a MAC lip pencil.
Shade: Zoeva came up with eight shades in this collection to match the new set of liquid lipsticks that they launched recently. Most of the shades in this collection are nudes, neutrals and unique shades. The shade “Deep Thoughts” is a beautiful vampy purple shade with a hint of grey. This color will be gorgeous for the fall and looks beautiful on its own. This is the kind of a shade which would probably look pretty across skin tones.
Formula: The formula of the lip pencil is like an old school lip pencil, it is not extremely creamy and it feels a bit drying on the lips. The pigmentation of the lip pencil is amazing, one stroke gives opaque shade pay off. The pencil is semi-creamy and may be a bit difficult to apply if not sharpened properly, but a pencil with a well sharpened tip is easy to work with and makes the lining and filling of the lips all the more easy and precise. If the lips are not exfoliated, these may tend to cling on to dry patches. Since the lip pencil is not super creamy, they do not break even if pressure is applied. I felt that the formula of these are similar to the MAC lip pencils.
Lasting Power: The product lasted for an entire day almost for eight hours without fading. If the lip pencil is worn alone it may tend to cling to dry patches at the end of the day, but if it is worn under a lipstick that may not be the case.
Overall, this is a decent lip liner which pretty much does its job wonderfully well. I feel that these are a great dupe for the Mac lip pencils, I really hope that they launch more shades in this line.
