Hi everyone. Just wanted to share with you some festive season looks.
First Look: Here is the eye and lip look I did for Christmas Eve 2010:
To achieve this eye look, first I applied MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre all over my lids, right up to the brow bone. Then I applied MAC Select Cover Up (Liquid) concealer NW25 in my under eye area. After doing these 2 steps, I started with this easy-peasy eye makeup look. Applied Revlon’s Molten Metal Liquid Eyeshadow in Scene Steel-er on my eyelids and a bit towards the inner corner of the eye. (This is a 2-phase liquid eyeshadow, it has to be shaken very well before use. Unfortunately, it was a Limited Edition and has since been discontinued. Pity, because it is lovely. Thank God I have a back-up of this.) Waited for the liquid eyeshadow to dry thoroughly, then lined my upper lash line with Bourjois Glitter Fizz 31 Black Star, followed by lining my lower lash line with Chambor Dazzle Transferproof Smooth Eye Pencil 101 Black Dazzle. Using an Inglot 13P brush, applied MAC’s Reflects Transparent Teal all over the rest of my eyelids up to the brow bone. This glitter powder is so finely milled and smooth that I just picked up the product from the inner cap itself, without the need to dip the brush into the glitter. Used MAC Brow Pencil in Fling on my eyebrows and MAC Zoom Lash Mascara to finish this simple yet showy eye look.
For the lips, I lined them with Revlon’s ColorStay Lip Liner in ‘Maroons’ and applied MAC’s Dazzle lipstick in ‘Troublemaker’. A neon-magenta pink lipstick loaded with glitter particles.

Second Look- New Year’s Eve look
What I did in silver/black for my Christmas Eve look, I repeated in gold/black for New Year’s Eve. This is an easy-to-do quick and glamourous look. Firstly, applied MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre all over the lids right up to the brow bone, followed by using MAC Select Cover Up (Liquid) concealer in NW25 on the under-eye area. Then applied Revlon’s Molten Metal Liquid Eyeshadow in Gold Digger on my eyelids and also very lightly lined my lower lash line with this too. It has a doe-foot applicator. Waited till this dried thoroughly, then lined my upper lash line with Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black, and lined my lower lash line with Revlon ColorStay Eye Liner in Black. Picked up with the Inglot 13P brush, a very small amount of Inglot Body Sparkles No. 56 and applied the same all over the rest of the eyelids upto the brow bone. Used MAC Brow Pencil again in Fling on my eyebrows and Diorshow Iconic Mascara in Black Noir on my lashes.
On my lips, I have applied MAC’s Heartless lipstick from the Venomous Villains Collection. A truly eye-catching, stunning red, with a crème finish.

hey sabrina, i recently purchased the chambor silver eye pencil. i also have it in teal, purple, grey, black. I think u too have the came silver pencil. can u tell me a few way of how u use isilver pencil other than near your tear ducts? :waiting:
btw, chambor dazzle has also launched 3 new colours in the same range- blue, brown and green….all are gorgeous :woot: :woot: :woot:
Hi Natasha. I’m just loving these eye pencils. I recently got the new blue and green ones too. You can use the silver pencil as an upper lash line eyeliner. I use it like that, and keep the black one for lining my lower lash line. You can also pair it by using the silver one on the upper lash line, and the blue one (instead of the black) on the lower lash line. For a more glamourous look, you can use the silver on the upper, and the gold on the lower lash line.

Wow Sabrina , you should do a series of tutorials on how to carry off the bold lip, how to do the bold lip. I love the colours on your lips. I am not much of an eye makeup person, I love lipsticks , but I cannot manage to wear lipstick without smudging it, and dark colours smudge so scarily . so a huge request to do a tutorial on how to wear dark colours without smudging (and how to keep the gloss from making life difficult while wearing dark colours. :bravo:

Varshini….You can try some red shades from Revlon’s ColorBurst range, they have 2 or 3 reds in those, you can also try a red from ColorBar’s Velvet Matte range, and also try some reds from Maybelline’s Color Sensational range.

@Varshini: I have Revlon Colorburst in the shade ‘Crimson’ and I really like it. There’s another shade ‘True red’ in this range but it looks warm on me. I prefer Crimson. You can see Jessica Alba wearing the shade in Revlon ads. I’ve also done a post on my blog where I’m wearing ‘crimson’ (under ‘bold lips’). You can check it out and see if you like the shade.
