( coz I am in Gujarat this time and there are not many flowers around to put together for a rangoli…….but the other things you mentioned are there 
i am mallu ..but being a muslim i dont celebrate onam.but usually we make payasam and sharkara peratti..gonna have it during ifthar today and tomorrow…Happy Onam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Onam Pathu, I know Onam cuts across all religions….I am a mallu RC Christian, and I too celebrate Onam in all its fervour……sharkara veretti, my bro-in-law got it yesterday….it tastes so yummy
I love it…but i am fasting…!!usually we celebrate onam with sadhya…i used to put onakallam when i was smaller..but not anymore.. this time ramadan and onam crossed over each other..so fastin fasting fasting…!!!..lookin forward to dusk to dig into the packet of sharkara veratti and kaaya varuthathu…. :inlove: :inlove: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:
