Lotus Herbals Cocoa Caress Daily Hand and Body Lotion Review

Hi Everyone,

Today, I will be reviewing Cocoa Caress hand and body lotion from Lotus Herbals. As we all know, with the arrival of winters, one of the biggest problems all of us face is rough and scaly skin. So, this time, I decided to try this new product which claimed to heal scaly skin as well as moisturize it. Without any further delay, let me start with the review.

Lotus Herbals Cocoa Caress Daily Hand and Body Lotion Review

Cost:

Rs. 225 for 300 ml.

What the Product Claims:

It claims to deeply moisturize the skin leaving even the most ‘scaly and rough ‘skin moisture-rich. Cocoa butter is an excellent moisturizer with skin-healing properties which helps retain the moisture balance of skin while reducing stretch marks, scars, wrinkles and fine lines. It also promises to keep skin soft, supple and hydrated all day long.

Key Ingredients:

Cocoa Butter, Rose Water, Ocyl Methoxy Cinnamate and Titanium Dioxide and fragrances.

Packaging:

It comes in a long light-yellow bottle just like any other Lotus product. The packaging is sturdy and makes it really convenient to carry and use. It has a pump-style dispenser which ensures that only the right amount of lotion comes out once we press it. So, it’s good for people like me who are usually careless while using body lotions and end up wasting a lot of it 😛

Directions To Use:

Apply liberally all over the body, ideally after a shower or bath on damp skin for best skin softening by sealing in the moisture. Focus on dry or stressed areas such as elbows, heels and knees. Can be used at any time when your skin is feeling dry or parched.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Cocoa Caress Daily Hand and Body Lotion:

During winters, my skin becomes extremely dry. So, I make it a point to apply this lotion twice every day. After taking a bath, I apply it all over my body. It has a cream-like consistency. It’s neither very thick nor very thin, but, you need to apply it in large amounts because it does not spread easily. In fact, it requires a lot of effort to blend it into your skin. So, this one is for those who have a lot of time before leaving for college or office.

Also, I was not very happy with it because its effect does not last for long. In fact, two applications per day were just not sufficient for me. I guess this one is meant for people with less dry skin though the bottle says that it can be used by people with normal to dry skin. It has a nice, pleasing smell which doesn’t linger for a substantial amount of time either.

Pros of Lotus Herbals Cocoa Caress Daily Hand and Body Lotion:

• Cost-effective.
• Nice mild fragrance.
• Convenient to carry.
• Effective Packaging.
• Suitable for people with normal skin type.
• Easily available.

Cons of Lotus Herbals Cocoa Caress Daily Hand and Body Lotion:

• Its effect does not last for a respectable time period, needs to be applied again and again at short intervals.
• It is not moisturizing enough for dry or parched skin.
• No visible skin healing effects as the product claims to do.
• Needs to be applied in large quantities; application is not easy and requires time.
• Contains parabens and other chemicals.

Will I Repurchase this Product?

No, I am really disappointed with this product. In fact, I am just waiting for it to finish off. I am planning to try something new or maybe switch back to my older moisturizer which was way better than this one. I would advise everyone to stay away from this product.
