Hello everyone,
MAC and Clinique are my top favorite beauty brands because they never fail to impress me. I am a lipstick and foundation person, 360 days a year đ Today, I have picked up a MAC lipstick for review – “CB96.” It is a frost-finish lipstick; though I am not a frost-finish lover, this one didnât disappoint. Letâs take a look at the swatches and further details.
Product Description:
Bright pinky-orange with pearl frost finish. A lipstick with hundreds of hues. The iconic product that made MACÂ famous. Formulated to shade, define and showcase the lips. Hundred of hues, high fashion textures. The iconic product that made MAC famous.
Price:
$17 (MAC has increased the prices. This range was priced at $16 earlier).

My Experience with MAC CB96 Lipstick:
I guess everyone is quite familiar with the iconic MAC lipstick packaging. This lipstick comes in a black case and in a cardboard box with all the details printed on it. It is lightweight, closes tight, and is travel safe. Usually, MAC lipsticks have names on them, but this one has a number.
The formula of MAC CB96 is creamy and soft, despite being a frosty shade. The lipstick glides on easily without any tug. I donât essentially need a lip liner for a neat application. This also makes reapplication easy.
MAC CB96 is described as a pink-y orange shade with pearl finish. I am really bad at defining colors, but as I see, it is a medium intensity peachy orange and gives an overall soft look. The shade isnât loud and has great pigmentation and coverage. It has a golden frost finish; yet the sparkles are of micro size. The lipstick doesnât budge, the sparkles stay in place, and do not settle into the fine lines on the lip. The lipstick carries a golden hue.
When I applied it the first time, I was scared that it would look horrible on me, but with some foundation and proper dressing up, I carried it well. So ultimately, my opinion is that it isnât a very tricky shade.  The soft orange color with golden frost finish can do wonders to your party makeup look. The magic just lies in the way you do your makeup. Also, it looks fabulous in photographs; take my word. The longevity of MAC CB-96 is about 6 hours.
