My Mini Makeup and Skincare haul
Hi Dear All,
I received the results of my blood test today and my Doc told me that I am now fully recovered. Yippee!!!!
So I decided to celebrate and what better way of celebration than a little shopping?? 😉
I replenished on some essentials and got some makeup items I had been eyeing for a while. It felt so good to be out and about. I feel invigorated. 😀
So here’s the haul-
Skincare:
I got all the winter essentials.
- Nivea Crème for elbows, knees and feet
- Nivea Soft (I use it as my body butter) and
- Garnier Total Comfort for my face.
Well, I do have really dry skin and I actually need all these.
- I also got the Johnson & Johnson baby wipes as per Rima’s suggestion and as you can see I have already opened the pack and used one. A single wipe removed my ENTIRE makeup which included concealer, Tinted moisturizer, Cheek and lip tint, waterproof eye makeup and long stay lipstick!!! I was pleasantly surprised.
- I also got my favourite rose water. It’s a local brand called “Aromaz”, but it’s great.
Now comes my makeup haul:
• I got the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy blush in the shade 07 Soft Candy. It’s a warm coral red and my first impression is really, really good. It’s creamy and sheer yet buildable.
• Then I got a Maxfactor Eye pencil in 080 Cobalt Blue. It’s a vibrant Icy blue. I love the shade. Here’s the swatch:
• Next, I got a MaxFactor Lippy. It’s called 785 Coffee Toffee. It’s a nice coffee brown. I somehow couldn’t find a brown which wouldn’t make me look muddy. Until I got this one. Here’s the swatch:
I needed a plain, matte, black liquid eye liner. I got one from Chambor. They also had nice blue and brown shades. They even had a shimmery black one. It’s a little glossy. But I loved it. It has a classic flexi brush. It’s not a felt tip. I like it in liquid liners. Here’s the liner:
I will be reviewing all these makeup products after using them for a while.
The haul is not too big, but I HAD to share it with y’all.

I use these pencils on my waterline and i never had any troubles..
MF pencils tend to fade after a while, but they don’t run or smudge..
And they have the blackest black!!!

My sister always uses the black pencil from MF..and its sooooooooo black..and this one is like sooo blue.. 😀 I am waiting for my Avon black to get over and then I am also getting MF.

Today only I have to buy anew phone. My old one dies yesterday. Sanjeev’s white light phone has got such an influence on me that I am also thinking of buying the same phone in coloured version. 😐 😐

Freeeeeeee..she never told me that..my meanie sis..noooooooooo actually she bought the liner and the MF Liquid Illusion..and the SA there did a makeover for her..used I don’t know what foundation on her…she loved it so much and the SA loved her so much she gave her a nice big tube of it as a sample. I am so greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

Hey 🙂 Good to see you back! I got myself Aromaz rosewater too I dint know it contained menthol, just sprayed it on my face and when the drop reached my lips I had this tingling sensation which made me jump wondering of it was some kind of reaction 😛 Then I rechecked the ingredients n noticed they had menthol too. 😀

I love this because it has menthol..
It soothes my tired eyes and i always feel nice and fresh after using this..
And it is a blessing in the sweltering Nagpur heat!!

The lippie is nice and warm despite being muddy brown..
Garnier Total Comfort is basically a light cold cream.. It’s my umpteenth pot and I love this..
I am not sure if it’ll work for Oily Skin..
But for dry to combo.. It’s fab!!!
My mom has oily skin but her skin too gets real dry in winters.. So can’t say much about really, really oily skin!!!
I am gonna review it too… It’s one of my favourites!!

:-P…Rads…Navratri fasts are different than KC fasts!!…KC is a “Nirjal” fast which means no food and water till you see the moon.
In Navratri, you can have fruits and certain “fasting” foods made up of sendha namak!! :-/ :-/ :-/

I know HD.. me too was lookin for a nice blue.. But all I ever found was dark navy blue, blue-black types..
And you know Chambor has exact blue in liquid liner too… i didn’t get it coz I like to smudge coloured pencils…

But as the wipes contain antiseptic substances, they may burn.. Even i feel a little tingling, but it’s fine..

Their lip liners are very fine too..

WOW… even medicine cant treat us better than shopping.. 😀 :laugh: .. luved the MF eye pencil… i too want to chk out this n other shades.. 220 is quite reasonable for it ..i hope it gives gud results too.. u must hav used other shades too.. how is it??? smooth n non-smudgy?? ?:-)
I have black, grey and now this blue…
They can be smudged after applying.. As they are quite creamy..
But once they set, they last forever..
If you wear it on waterline, it may fade after a while,, but never bleed or run!!!
